Workdesk Wednesday-There Be Monsters

Look--a big box!  It arrived yesterday while I was at work and I had to fret over it because it looked very stormy in that section of town.  I work up in the west side foothills and get a good view of the city in the valley so all I could do is sit here miserably knowing my package of crafting goodies was drowning in a puddle. BUT! This is Tucson and rain does funny things here. It did indeed pour in my area, but about a mile from where I live.  Where I live got nary a drop so my package was safe. Yea!
Here is what was in the package--lots of fun A Muse goodies--stamp sets, polka dot paper, chevron paper, ribbons, ink, and washi tape.  It isn't all mine though, as about half of it is a customer order.  I get to ogle it for a couple more days though.
Here is the floor to the right of the desk. There is almost always a pile of something right there. I just added the packing paper this morning.

It was a deliberate addition because the cat gets so tickled when I get packages in the mail and she can play with the packaging.  She is a fan of bubble wrap too, but only under adult supervision as she will eat it.
I big scawy monster!
I made a card with a left overs that have been on my desk for months.  I didn't particularly like the colors in this kit so I keep shuffling the parts around. I tend to like the final results but seeing the kit lumped together puts me off.
I have a give away on my Monday's blog post if you are interested.  You don't have to be a follower.  I hope you check it out. I'm hosting the challenge at the A Muse Studio challenge blog this time and hope you can check that out too.  I mean what the heck, you got plenty of free time, dontcha?!

The Fine Print: I ain't got nothing.  The card was made with a Club Scrap kit.  Yeah... that's it!

Oh, my word, I would have been fretting, too! In fact, since I would have been worrying and, because of it, not really working, I would have just sneaked out and gone on home. SO glad all was safe and you (and catty) have lots of new toys to play with!!

Thanks for coming by to visit me earlier! Have a great week! Darnell #116

Isn't it great to get a crafty parcel in the post! Cute cat - our cat is in the bad books today - she chewed DH's radio controlled model plane and made a big hole in the wing!!

Yay for dry packages (oooh, that sounds do wrong, doesn't it???). The weather angel was obviously smiling on you that day :D I really like those polka dot papers, my friend is having a 50s theme wedding soon and is getting a polka dot halterneck dress made!
And you're right...I DID come home with grand schemes for our bathroom, lol!!

Looks like someone is thinking about Halloween, and why not, I made a Fall inspired card at the weekend! We have a porch so the packages usually stay dry, unless the rain is accompanied by a howling gale of course. Love the saying on that card, will have to remember that.

Hi Judy thanks for popping in to see me. Glad you didn't fall off my desk!! Got to love a parcel with crafting goodies within. I have to try very hard not to put one for me two for the shop when I get customer stuff! I don't think I should be spending more than I make in profit should I?!! Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 39

Don't you just love getting parcels, especially big ones. Bummer that it isn't all yours but at least you get to look at it and feel it for a while.
Puss looks rather happy in that paper, my parrot loves to do the same thing but he ambushes you if you come too close.
Have a great week and I can relate to that card!!

Like Darnell, I'd probably have snuck out or even threatened that I felt ill enough to throw up so they sent me home to rescue my parcel.

Love your puss in a package :) Bless, so cute.

Lovely lot of new stash, Judy! I love it when parcels arrive full of goodies. One of our kitties adores cardboard and will chew it to bits given the opportunity, but she doesn't eat it. I don't think she's tried bubble wrap! Perhaps your kitty enjoys popping it with her teeth.

Thanks for your fun comment on my blog. Actually I didn't do the annotated photo in Photoshop (haven't got it) - I do have Serif PhotoPlus which is just as good and a fraction of the price. I did it in Serif PagePlus which is a desktop publishing program and it was easy-peasy, believe me! When everything's in moveable boxes, it's a doddle.

Shoshi the serial killer? You don't know the half of it. I could MURDER a bowl of cornflakes...

Ohhhhh, don't you just love the postman....a box of treasures that's for sure. Your kitty is so sweet, just like kids, they like the box and the wrapping more than the contents. Can't wait to see what you make. Have a crafty week.

Thanks for stopping by..the rain, wind, and hail went all around us. Nary a drop. It's scary they are saying our water supply could even dry up..
Great fun with the new stuff and don't those little house pets just have fun with the simplest of things?
Enjoy and have a great week

Hi Judy - love the cat photo - reminds me of one I had who even sat in carrier bags - must find a photo to share. Glad the goodies were safe from the wet - how strange to watch the rain elsewhere.

Lovely lot of new goodies, you made me smile when you said that you could oggle them, even though they were for a customer - I would do exactly the same. Love your cat in the paper, they are all so curious aren't they but so much fun to watch. Thank you for visiting me, I am still trying to get around as many people as possible.........Anne x #21
