Senior Prom Anyone?

I didn't go to my senior prom. Or my junior prom. Or any prom.
I don't feel a lesser person because of it.

Did you go to yours?
Was it all stars and romance?
Or just another awkward rite of passage?

The Artist

I recently found some of these 3D decoupage sheets stashed away. I had them all set up to make 4 cards but somehow never finished them. I made this one first and another one second, and then called it a day and put them away so I can pull them out again in a decade or so.

The Fine Print: Some lady copied these and sold them to our stamp group for the price of the copies, probably a violation of several federal laws.

At the Beach in My Frock

I often tell people that I really adore the beach and all things to do with the shore. Probably I should clarify that to say in theory I really like them. I can't say for sure as I don't recall having ever participated in one
Although I've been told that I have laid eyes upon both the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans in person, along with Lakes Winnebago, Michigan, Elephant Butte, and Patagonia; the Erie Canal, a river or two (both with and without water) some large swimming pools, a kiddie pool, and a hot tub.

So based on my extensive knowledge beaches and the shore they are way cool!  Well, maybe they are hot with all that sand baking in the sun, but whatever... beaches rock.

The Fine Print: Decoupage beach scene from my stash, shell stamps by DeNami Designs. Don't ruin my delusions with tales of polluted water and sand in your crack.

Shoe Snippets

I've truly been slacking at this blogging thing lately. But what I haven't been slacking at is paper crafting. In fact, I'm ahead of the game with this 3D layered paper tole card. It is for a card exchange that isn't until late June. Trust me when I say I'm not usually that on top of things.
However, this weekend I was puttering around my craft room and found a stash of these layering images in a random place which reminded me how much I used to love that technique. Then I found the already pierced parchment paper along with a hunk of leftover ribbon and this card was born. Since I used so many odds and ends that had been languishing in my room I'm going to join in at Pixie's Playground.

The Fine Print: It feels good to use up the odds and ends.

Poises in a Can

A friend of mine gave me enough foam tape rolls and squares to last me the rest of my lifetime. That got me thinking that I need to get back into doing that 3D decoupage layered art. That's a great way to use lots of foam tape bits and pieces.
In fact this whole card was a great excuse to use lots of bits and pieces. All the parts of this card are snippets and leftovers so I'll be taking this over to the Snippet Playground.  I was very proud of myself for using that wide sheer ribbon. It was one of my follies that I kept even though I rarely use sheer ribbon and almost never use ribbon that wide.

The Fine Print: Decoupage image unknown (leftovers cut from a larger sheet of images), dies by Spellbinders, embossing folder by Stampin' Up, designer paper by Magenta, and ribbon from my stash.
