The Mail Came!

So last week brought some mail with it that I thought I'd share. I don't share things like the electric bill or the credit card statement that has the cat vet bill on it (that gray bastard needs to get a job) because I'm sure you get enough of that in your own mailbox.

The week started with a prize in the mail for participating in a card sharing event. These are wooden embellishments, not some weird woodmount stamp (what I totally thought when I opened the envelope). I probably won't get more prizes from them because they changed from share cards to share cards with specific themes. You can't tell me what to do! Okay, you can but I do enough of those specific themed things already.

Then this cool room divider looking card came in the mail. I love fall and this stands up nicely on my shelf and reminds me how cool autumn is (in other parts of the world, it's still in the 90s and greenish [you know as green as it ever gets] here).

Then this fun card came in the mail, confusing me as to what season it really was. Don't you adore that delicate flower die cut?! It looks so fiddly to play with.

Lastly, this card came in the mail and now I truly have no idea what season it is. I love the reflective surfaces on this card. The friend who sent it is finally embracing die cuts. She was a holdout for so long that I'm glad she saw the light.

The Fine Print: So if you're like me and don't want to give Picmonkey money for suddenly going to pay-per-view then check out BeFunky. It works quite fine as evidenced by these photos here. Happy mail day y'all.

September 18 Mail Day

Picmonkey is going to be the death of me. It has taken way. too.. long... to get these three photos ready to share with you. Thank gosh I didn't get more mail this week.  This first card was for a white on white swap, which is hard to photograph as the papers all have different textures.

Happy Mail

I am a woman of little words today, but here's the mail:

Mailbag Tuesday?!

I tried in vain multiple times yesterday to update my blog and the powers that be conspired against me. I was willing to lay the blame right on Blogger's feet where it so often goes, but in hindsight, I think it was Firefox who steered me wrong.

And here is my September calendar:

And that is about all there is for today because today is Tuesday but since yesterday was a holiday it is really a Monday in disguise. Those are alway so tricky and mean.

August 28 Mail Call!

During the past week the mailman brought me the following goodies, including a prize!

Then he brought me a cat, because you always need more of those!

Then he brought me a little girl and a hummingbird all on the same day!

While this card didn't come in the mail, I thought it should count. It was a thank you card for hosting the impromptu solar viewing party.

Then I got even more in the mail!

All in all the mailman has been pretty good to me this past week. I guess we won't kill him yet. :-P

Mailbag Monday

I knew this week was going to pale in comparison to last week's bonanza, but what lacked in quantity was made up in quality.  Check out these masterpieces, especially the flowers on that gatefold card. They are wonderfully 3D.

Happy Mail Monday

I know we all look so forward to Monday when I share what the nice mailman dude brought me. Check these beauties out--fun, fun, fun! I was so tickled by how much mail my friends bestowed on me this week.

The Fine Print: It's great to have talented friends!

Manic Mail Monday

In no particular order, here is the lovely mail that the postal dude brought me. I also got a stamp set and some punches in the mail. I didn't take a picture of them though. You'll just have to stay tuned for me to use them one of these days.

Here's a bonus card from me. Only it really isn't a bonus. I actually think it is kind of a lousy card. Other people liked it though, so maybe it is tolerable.

The Fine Print: Stamps on my card by Stampin' Up. Hope you are surviving your Monday.

Mailbag Monday-Last Day in July

Here's what the mailman brought me last week. There is a fun birthday shaker card, a wonderfully colored beach scene (so wish I was there right now) and a hilarious housework card popped up in 3D goodness. Check them out.

The Fine Print: It's all good!

Monday Mail on Tuesday

So yesterday just didn't work for me. Luckily today is another day and the skies are blue and the sun is shining.... and. Oh. Wait. I was just told from an Informed Source who came in from outside that the sun is not shining and the skies are gray. Such is life when it is monsoon season.

Anyway, onto the mail. This past week the postman started out by bringing me this fabulous sparkly mermaid card as part of a weekly card exchange. Mermaids are so hot right now.

Then I got this delicate die cut card. It's so pretty. It has a hint of sparkly and shine to it that you can't tell from the photo.

And these two cards came in the late evening hours on Sunday as the week wound down. The mailman left them with the neighbor. You might notice a mason jar theme. I also got the cool mason jar shaker stickers.

The Fine Print: I got nothing. It's Tuesday. It's happening. I'm not sure what "it" is, but it's happening.

Mailbag Mania - July 10

I only have one card to share with you this week. It isn't that I only received one card in the mail--I got three. I sort of never got around to photographing the other two. But that's something to look forward to for next week.

This card is nice and sparkly and festive and fun. It inspired me on a card I needed to make. I can't share that with you either because that picture is still on my camera.

I'm sounding pretty hopeless but in my defense, I'm seriously allergic to my own house. It got painted this weekend. Our little pink house is now a little brown house. I guess it really isn't "little" but it isn't a McMansion either although we contemplated moving into one during a moment of madness.

Anyway, it's the fumes from the paint (and probably all the dust that got stirred up) that is wreaking havoc on my allergies. Probably I should leave my house outside to air out...

I card I made.
