Make Up Monday

Yep, still yet another scheduled post.  Since I brought out some Tilescapes cards I made recently, I thought I'd share this one from back in the day.  It has been pining away in the pending folder since then.
Just coincidentally it is another of the same tri-fold cards.  The stamped greeting is from a different Club Scrap kit.  The very inside just had a plain panel so I didn't photograph is.
Here is a fall card that got repeatedly overlooked .  The pumpkins have distress glitter glue on them, which turns out to not be the best choice.
And here a a birthday card from quite awhile back.  I made this in a workshop.  The colors make me think of fall. I love that glitter ribbon!

April Birthday Cards part I

Today I thought I'd share some of the birthday cards I made for those with April birthdays.  I know 17 people with April birthdays! Is that not just an insane number?  I told my husband I was going to have to unfriend some of these people as it is just too many.
Instead of just unfriending them though, maybe we could just throw them all into a pit and let them duke it out?  Think of the entertainment value! The top 8 or 9 folks could be the winners.  You know, no need to fight to the last person standing.
However, if you are keeping count, ultimately you aren't going to see 17 birthday cards as I did use some cards I've shared for other things for birthdays.  Some of the random cards and challenge cards got used to wish the big HB to folks.
There is also a very large chance that I didn't photograph everything either.  I often don't think about it until I have the envelope sealed shut.
So this ought to keep you entertained for a bit!

Eff Off, Summer!

This card says "hello summer" but only because I didn't have an f-- off, summer stamp.  But truly, summer can blow me. I used to love the heat but this year it is kicking my behind.

I made this card based on the sketch from this challenge.  I didn't make for that challenge, I made it for a swap that used that same sketch. I wanted to be bold and exciting like other people often are and turn the sketch sideways, so I did. My original plan had been to cut Vs in the end of the three strips of colored paper so they would kind of look like banners. I came to my senses though and realized there was no way I was going to get nice even V-cuts in all three pieces so I dropped the idea.

The Fine Print: Don't let the whining fool you, I hate cold too, much more than heat. And since I live on the wrong side of tracks from Hell "too cold" for me is anything under 80 degrees. It's a Cat Thing

Last night (this morning?) at about midnight the old cat got up off his electric blanket, jumped off the couch, tottered down the hall, jumped up on the bed, walked across the black cat and I and stuck his face directly into mine.  There, he loudly announced that my husband was not home yet and a situation like that calls for cat food.  Since the old cat is older than dinosaur poop, I got up and put some of his nighttime food in the bowl, even though there was some already there (senility is a bitch).  I also explained to him that given the time his dad would be home soon because he's old too, although not as old as dinosaur poop.

In celebration of crotchety cats everywhere, be they young or old, here's some kitty cards.
