Christmas in July

I don't understand the whole "Christmas in July" thing.  I mean we don't do Thanksgiving in June to rev up to it or Halloween in May, which when you are kid living in Ohio, that would have been supreme because by the time October rolled around your wonderfully planned Halloween costume* got covered up by that year's parka.  Yet there it is, Christmas in July.  It's hard to think Christmas when it's so hot your butt crack is sweating.  Just sayin'.

I understand it is popular though.  I mean some people like to watch slasher flicks to get a thrill and chill and others like counting down the days to Christmas.

The bi-weekly A Muse Studio Challenge this time is...... wait for it....... Christmas in July!  If you live on this side of the pond and are feeling the Christmas spirit, feel free to join in. It doesn't require the use of a|s products, but bonus points if you do use them.  At least swing by and check and it out, maybe leave a comment or two cheering the participants on.

Meanwhile I'm going to light the yule log, drink some egg nog, and listen for the sound of reindeer.  Wait? Do you hear what I hear?  Oh my!  Cicadas!** Or maybe that's just the sound of my brain melting.

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

The Fine Print: *wonderfully planned Halloween costume = whatever flammable nylon printed jumpsuit with non-glasses friendly plastic mask you and your parents picked up at the five and dime.
**cicada-any large homopterous insect of the family Cicadidae, the male of which produces a shrill sound by means of vibrating membranes on the underside of the abdomen which makes you think either Tucson has an enormous electrical problem or that you can actually hear your brain sizzle.
Top card-all products by A Muse, stamps "vintage holiday greetings," die cut by Spellbinders "Label 4," pebble gray ribbon, cherry card and ink, silver shimmer couture patterned paper and clear twinkle stickers. Bottom card-paper by DCWV, stamps by A Muse "Happy Christmas," dies by Spellbinders, border punch by EK Success, 1/2-inch circle punch by Stampin' Up.

Bonus Fine Print: blah,Christmas, blah, blah, holiday, blah, blah, Sana, blah, blah, reindeer, blah, traffic, blah, blah, presents, blah, tree, blah, blah, shopping, blah, crowds, blah, blah, credit card debt, blah, family get togethers, blah, blah, homicidal rage, blah, blah, blah.

You get double points for playing along with a theme which is obviously challenging for you (get it, huh, huh???)
I especially love the top card - now I need that silver couture cardstock, darn it!
