Inking of You

So back in the days when I was still driving my truck.... before some kid in his daddy's Beemer crossed over the center lane and murdered my baby, which I then replaced with the top of the line all the bells and whistles and ridiculous features car that was was then brutally murdered by a red light runner when it was but a baby so I replaced that with a year old not quite top of the line car without some bells and some whistles and no ridiculous features that got into a fender bender thing when it was just a toddler....yeah, before all that... so anyway I was driving my truck along and a firetruck, you know those huge red things with all the ladders and buff men in big coats hanging off of it, came zooming up the street behind me with all of its bells and whistles and flashing lights and screaming sirens on, so I pulled over.

Right? I pulled over just like you are taught to do when an emergency vehicle with its lights and sirens on shares a road with you, except for the road had had a curb so I pulled over as far as I could. Anyhow Bibsy in the car behind me either didn't get the memo or was too busy texting, painting her nails and waxing her bikini line and almost plowed into me. She was so affronted by my actions that she laid on her horn and whipped the wheel of car to zig zag around me.

Only she pulled into the lane the firetruck was in causing him to veer around her and he laid on his horn.....

BBBBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNK!

as only a firetruck can.

And she slammed her car hard over into the curb at the side of the road.  It was a thing of beauty.  Her waxed bikini line? Not so much.

Ice, Ice, Baby

I'm in my office today, so this is an appropriate card. It seems the hotter it gets outside the colder they make the inside. They are starting to freeze the vegetables! (That's us btw).

24 Carrot Friend

Our Extreme Heat Advisory was lifted today so that means we can all wander back outside and do some gardening.

Or just inside the air conditioning and watch the fools play in the dirt.  Whichever.

Happy Mail - April 17

Let me show you the happy mail I received in the last week. We'll start with a couple of cards from my friend, Helen. The first card was a thank you card because I sent her the stamp that she used on it.  The second card was for a gardening themed swap we were in.
I received a couple of Easter cards from friends Darlene and Patty. What do you mean the Siamese card isn't an Easter card?! Patty found it in the Easter Card section and wrote 'Happy Easter' in it. That makes it an Easter card!
Last, but not least, I received this puppy dog card for a baby swap (where the baby could be of any species).  The baby duckie card under that was my card for the baby swap.

Too Lazy to Rule the World

Last month my big stamp club gave out a cardboard coffee cup sleeve as the mystery item and challenged us to do something with it. I didn't get very creative with it as I just turned it into a cardboard coffee cup sleeve.

Peace

May you have a peaceful day and if not may you have many pieces of pie.
Or if you want to put some jingle in your step, do that instead, and you don't have to jingle all the way, you can opt for part-way and no one will complain.

Just Saying Hello

I made this fall tag card the other day. I did a CASE of a tag I had received to come up with this idea since I am rather tag impaired (but I keep trying).

Chilly Cheer from a Not-So-Chilly Place

Hello!  It was a respectable 75 degrees here in the desert today and that makes this lizard very happy.  Mind you I still wore an undershirt and long sleeve shirt over that and had my hoodie within reach at all times, but I was still very pleased.

That didn't stop me from thinking cold thoughts and making a few chilly cards.

I'm going to go play at a friend's house tomorrow so I have to go pack my new toy up.  Here's my new toy, accessories and the blonde not included.
