WOYWW 161 and Random Blatherings

Hello Everyone!  Waves at everyone dropping in from England.  Today is Independence Day, the day we Americans celebrate our divorce from you.  To celebrate most folks will cook and eat formerly living creatures, consume copious amounts of alcohol, and blow shit up!  Ain't more American than that, huh?
Today is also Workdesk Wednesday where a bunch of friendly, nosey people gather together to ogle each other work spaces, projects, and goings on.  I'm almost embarrassed to show my desk today. It has been cleaned off. This is because I needed to change out the papers that protect my desk.  Now that that task has been done I can mess it all up again!
Here is the card from last week that I thought needed a little something more to it, complete with that something more.
Here is a a card and ATC I received from Vickie AKA Okie Nurse from the WOYWW birthday celebration.  Isn't that ATC great? The card is no slouch either.
Here are the bits and pieces of a card that have been on my desk for months. I keep shuffling them around from one side to the other, always taking care to not lose the pieces.  Really, I should just finish the thing off already.  That will be my goal for next WOYWW--show the finished card.  The problem is I'm not sure how the surfer chick fits in.  Maybe it doesn't?
Last of all, I am starting to wonder if the cat doesn't have a prescription drug problem.  Stay tuned to see if we have a Kitty Intervention.
I can quit anytime I want. I just don't want to.
That is a lot of blathering. I'd better shut up now.

The Fine Print: No real Brits were harmed in the making of this post. Americans are petitioning for joint custody of "Jolly good, then!" and "Bugger off."  Independence cupcake stamp by Stampendous, papers by Bo Bunny, star brad by unknown. Wonderful friend card papers and greeting by My Mind's Eye, flower by unknown. Unfinished card base by Club Scrap, papers by Paper Salon, stamps by DeNami.

Still giggling...did you start hitting the hot dogs and alcohol last night? Love the cards. I didn't make any Independence Day anything this year. Did watch Independence Day on TV last night though! I am looking forward to seeing the finished surfer chick card cause she looks so cute! Poor kitty...I have one cat that likes to play with prescription bottles too. I put dry beans in them so they rattle and she rolls and tosses them around. Happy 4th of July...now go blow up some more crap! Vickie #36

Well, you can keep 'Jolly Good Then' but 'Bugger Off' is ours and we're not letting it go without a fight....!! Never mind about:
* There we are then....
* Howay the Lads....
* Tidy!! (as in Brad Pitt is tidy)
* Corking
* Down the hatch...

etc etc.

PS Your cat looks like she needs to go to an AA meeting....

See, now you have opened up a can of worms...I wasn't going to even mention the fact that it was independence from "them" ( says in hushed whisper ) We might get kicked off the WOYWW board as we are severely outnumbered ya know! lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina with a hot dog in one hand and a flag in the other! :) #37

I'm starting to thingk Bugger off is universal. Happy independence day and I hope you had lots of all the things you consume on that day. Love the card and I think the little additions have turned it into a beautiful card. Your independence card is lovely and I think I will have to copy that for a boy card (Always have problems with the boy cards). Kitty looks quite pleased with herself.

Another crazy post Judy, and I just loved it, especially the kitty bit at the end. Oh and the references to us Brits.
Just stay as you are - a tonic to us all.

Hi Princess Judy,

You just crack me up! Yep, I thought it was quite funny - us divorcing our UK friends.... tee hee.

Your Independence Day card is great - as is the other one. Now I'll have to scroll down to see what you added.

Oh, and huh, the pile is still on my desk!!! Yikes.

Oh Judy, your posts always make me laugh! (as does your Blogger photo of yourself - says it all really!!) You can just see the kitty thinking just that... Great cards, and I adored your description of 4th July!!! ha ha ha!

Thanks for your comnment on my blog - I am sure I will end up with 2 TH rulers because when you buy something to replace what's lost, the lost thing invariably turns up, doesn't it! As for the sprays, still haven't tried them - been busy this p.m. I'm going to make up a palette with my new Perfect Pearls a-la-Christie, and also my alcohol inks.

I could give up my art addiction too, if I wanted to. I don't want to. Lol!

Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi

Love the cards and ATC's too, they all look 'Jolly Good'...
I hope you're feeling 'Tickertyboo' after all your shinanagins for the 4th of July!
Well I must 'Bugger Off' now to visit more desks.

Oi missus, we want our language back and start spelling words correctly... you need to put the u back in colour and valour etc! And while we're on the subject it's baa-sil not bay-sil. Need me to go on??? Huh? Huh?! You need to be grateful for peeps like us, without us you wouldn't have a big party to celebrate and you wouldn't have a day off work either! Show a little respect to your betters. Tee hee, you made me larf you did. Hope you ate dead things, consumed copious amounts of alcohol and blew a few things up while you were at it!

One day I'm going to use the word "blathering". I read it so much on my WOYWW rounds and we filipinos never use it. One day.... :^) patsy
