If you live someplace other than here you probably don't understand how it can rain in one section of town and nary a drop a few blocks away. It also only rains for a brief moment and then moves on. But sometimes it rains and rains and rains all day, off and on again like we've freaking Ohio or something.
That is what happened yesterday and to celebrate the cool, gray day we celebrated with ice cream. The weather was cool, we were cool, the ice cream was cool; it was all cool.

Love the chomp out of the paper.
(Here, it's been known to rain on one side of the street and not the other. My favorite is when it's pouring rain, lightning, and the sun is shining all at the same time.)
I think people who live in desert climates get that. ( it happens here ( high dessert mountain is what they call us) and so, you know on the days we get a whole inch of rain is causes flash flooding... I am grinning that rain = ice cream though. which then makes me think we have no ice cream in any of the freezers. DANG. :)
Brrr... definitely a cool card, but oh for some ice cream weather. We've had a whole summer of cool, grey days, and now - when you quite often get a beautifully blue-skyed September to make up for it - it's practically winter. I'm back to two duvets and a hot water bottle (sometimes a hot water bottle during the day too, but that's mostly because I'm feeling grotty).
I popped back to say you're probably right about the cat thing - though I don't want them eating the birds, please.

Now that's a fun idea, taking a bite out of the corner of the paper just like someone took a bite out of the popsicle! I love the smiley face on the popsicle, and I could eat one of those right about now :)
Hi PJ...Your card is just 'too cool', and I bet you enjoyed that cool gray day, after the endless heat & sun. We get the same weather patterns here. It can rain down the street and we don't see a drop! Also our area is sort of down in a valley between some mountains, so lots of times, the rain all around, skips over us. Your popsicle looked yuumy. Good idea to celebrate your cool day too! TFS
Love the bite out of the corner just like out of the ice cream bar! Darling card, Judy! Ice cream is the perfect celebration for everything, in my book!
And just what is wrong with Ohio?!?!?!?!?!
Rain is funny like that! Ice cream is always fun!
