I'm wearing gloves as I'm typing this from my bunker deep in the frozen tundra. I hope I can get this message out to the masses before I slip into a deep frozen forever sleep. Okay, so I'm a bit of a drama queen but I really am wearing gloves. This Southern Arizona Lizard does not like winter. Or cold. Or snow.
Except on paper.
So how lucky for me to discover Double D Challenges with their winter time challenge to use this collage for inspiration. I latched onto the bright red cardinals right away as all those cool sepia tones were just too cold for me. This is the card I came up with:
I really latched onto that red and used warmer brown tones for my card. I'm sorry if the pattern and the die cut boggle your eyes. My camera is a real piece of.... work. It does much better in the bright sunshine (which we are lacking being winter and all).
The Fine Print: Stamps by A Muse Artstamps, die by Spellbinders, paper by DCWV, and seam binding from a sewing store. Happy winter my friends, stay warm!

Lovely warm card! Hope you get dug out soon. Oh, and we don't want your leftovers either, thanks all the same. Xx
Cute image. I never look that perky when I'm out in the snow. (Like you, I like pretty snowflakes on cards, not in real life).
I know the feeling. We are 16 inches deep in the white stuff with a forecast of 5 to 8 inches more before it all ends. BRRRR! Losts of shoveling tomorrow. Sigh. Love the image. Cardinals are a perennial favorite. Love the black Die cut on red.
Hugs and blessings

I hope you can come out of your frozen tundra bunker soon PJ. Your cute winter card looks great.

LOL ... your photo is just fine Judy and I love what you've created from our inspiration board. Love the red and your image is so cute!! Awesome job! Please try to stay warm (hot chocolate or a hot tatee helps warm you from the inside!) Freezing here in Ohio too.
Thanks so much for joining in the fun at Double D Challenges! We hope you’ll come back often.

you did well. i can relate about the winter and cold but i can hardly believe that you would be feeling that in AZ.
I love what you came up with from this photo inspiration, really sweet card! We have no snow in SC, but it feels about as the pictures!
As for who I referred, no, that wasn't the name..it was Veronica. I plan on placing an order with you too..there are a couple of things I'd like to pick up :)
This is such a sweet card Judy, a cute image and pretty papers.

While you shiver, here in the southern part of the Antipodes we are roasting - our thermometer got to 88oF (30.8 oC) this afternoon - a tad warm for our comfort.
Love your card Princess Judy, bright and cheerful like it's creator - and thanks for following my blog
Blessings

Wow, Judy--one of my favorite cards! Love the paper, image, pretty die--everything!
I totally love the colors you chose for this one. and it took me a minute to realize that was not photos out your front door. ( lucky you haha) :)
There are no warm winter wishes - I'm certain that they're all frozen by the time we get them! Ha! This really is a cute card though, and I love the scalloped panel behind that great image!
Sweet winter card! Such a cute little scene! Great interpretation of the challenge graphic! We've got a lot of snow again this year too. I'm sick of winter already and can't wait for spring. But I do enjoy making winter cards so I'm not done yet!!
