S is for Shitfaced

S is for shitfaced!  ...um. Wait.  No, that's not it.  And that right there is why the Snarky Sisters can't have anything nice, because random people like me come along and can't get anything straight.

What I meant to say is S is for STEAMPUNK!  So let's all jump on the trendy train and make something steampunk even if we only have a slight grasp of what that means.
I've got a dapper frog with a top hat and walking stick umbrella.  That's wacky and sci-fi enough to be steampunk.  Dark Victorian colors, check.  Random bits of metal, check.  Gears for that industrial feel, yep. Something by Tim Holtz... It must be steampunk!  Woo hoo!

Why not make something steamy and punky and join the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for their steampunk challenge today?!  It runs until July 11 and who know, mayhaps you could be queen!
The Fine Print: Sir Toady of Blechleham by Stampendous, lacy circle die by Spellbinders, metal clip by Karen Foster (the crafty lady not the former playboy bunny), small paper clip, meal gears and corner mount by Tim Holtz, twine from A Muse Studio, paper and corrugated cardboard from my stash.

I like to be shit faced WHILE I get my steampunk on...best of both worlds!
Thanks for coming back to join the sisterhood for the S is for Steampunk (or shit faced) challenge :)

I think the steampunk is cool looking, but I have a difficult time creating this style. I like your gears with your frog.

I wondered where this was going but I often do with your posts - great interpretation hun. I'd need to be one to create the other. Hugs xx

Well Sir Toady fits right in with your steampunk design! I don't do it well - probably because I don't understand it or know how to interpret it! Fun card regardless of that strange froggie :)

I'd have to be shit faced to create something steampunk I'm afraid! LOL! Not even really sure what exactly it is - but yours looks steampunk-ish to me and I love that precious little frog - top hat and all!

Of course. I've been chasing my tail a bit at the Playhouse lately, what with one thing and tother, so I finally get a chance to visit you back and I get greeted with shitfaced! First thing on a Sunday morning! That was LAST night and don't remind me!!

You are the sassiest girl in all of Blogland!

I know you are usually one to buck a trend, but I have to say that you ROCKED the steampuckery hell out of this one!! Like, dude, - no, that's surferspeak. How do steampunkers talk? Or do they just punk steam out their mouths? I wonder if anyone has even asked that before?

Sorry, it was all that steam in my eyes. May I just say, as a frog affynado, that this frog punker is AWESOME!!

Enjoy your Sunday! Mwah! Darnell

WORD! What she said, that jimmilynn girl, my sentiments exactly and I do love the frog though I know he would never be in my collection unless It was a free win or something, toooo steam pinky for me. I don't own any gears either. But I do have watches!

Sir Toady croaks out some awesome Steampunkery! Love your card! I'm glad you played along with our Steampunk challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

Thank you... I will never look at Karen Foster crafty stuff quite the same way again. :D That frog prince -- no he's a sir, just a knight, I guess -- is perfectly Victorian, and the gears and such elevate him into pure steampunk excellence. So glad you joined the fun at the Sisterhood!

Your steampunk entry is fantastic! I don't think I would ever have chosen a frog to grace my card. Great outside of the box thinking. And if you ever get stuck on Steampunk again, just think of Jules Verne

Seeing as some of us may have been Shitfaced while doing our steampunk challenge...your comment if perfect. :) Thanks for joining us at SoSS

I adore you!!! Shitfaced indeed! Some of the Sisters (me *koff*) are usually in that state when creating. I swear, it helps! LOL! Your card is certainly very Steampunky, and Sir Toad is very dapper! Thanks for playing with the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for the Steampunk challenge!

OMG, how did we miss shitfaced as a challenge prompt? I mean, we're formerly Drunken Stampers. Sheesh. Dropped the ball there. I'm with you on the Steamhuh? train (oh, wait, I think trains are a steampunk thing?lol) and frankly, the top hat and umbrella make it right there. I love all the metal bits! And I was out of Tim Holtz fiddly fun bits so I was shitfaced several times trying to be inspired to find something in my stash that would do, since of course TH is definitely steamfunk. Punk. Fack. lol

Yeah, I'd have to be SHIT-FACED to to steam punk. One of my tweeps was shocked - SHOCKED - that I, a Luddite, even knew the word(s). But shit-faced I could do! :)
