WOYWW #357

Here's a front view of my desk for Workdesk Wednesday as it stands at the moment. There are some projects that are completed, some that in the works, and some that are just ideas at the moment. There is happy mail incoming and outgoing, a puzzle, pens, and odds and ends including a UFO. The cats aren't as interested in getting onto the top part of my desk anymore so I can actually pile stuff on it. Check out one of the things that is piled on it:
Is that not a giant roll of black ribbon?! I got that from my friend. That plain ribbon is one of my favorites to use. Several other folks cut off long lengths from it to use but I'm still left with enough to last my entire lifetime. Too fun.
And check my new toy out! This is a vintage paper cutter that my hubby picked up for me at a yardsale in our neighborhood. It is good working condition and heavy enough to withstand a nuclear war. It's too awesome.
The cats were told that they were missing their chance at internet fame so Dio showed up to claim the title of Handsomest Cat in the Blogosphere.
For those of you that come here to see cards, here is one I got in the mail. I love the colors and the use of circles.

The Fine Print: Thanks for visiting today!

OH, someone posted later than me! :) Good to see you, Judy. Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment earlier. I had gotten one of those paper cutters at a garage sale some 20 years ago. It was my first paper cutter, but since have gotten the newer SU! one, and let that go. Maybe I shouldn't have. That is a huge roll of ribbon! Wow! Lucky you. #52

Ooh he is very handsome :) (love ribbon on huge rolls is fantastic :) ) what I really love about your new view is that you can see all your stamp sets all tidy. nope, on that bird the bird in feathered hope is facing to the left and looks a little slimmer than the rounder bird on the table. :) ~Stacy #53

Great cutter! Just don't drop it on your foot! No, I have not had that experience but came close once. Dio is beautiful but I think Miss Piggy can give him a challenge! LOL! Looks like you're settled in! Thanks for the visit!

Great guillotine - they can cut through everything! What a large roll of ribbon, it definitely shouldn't run out anytime soon. You need lots more on the top part of your desk to catch up with mine - if every surface is covered it saves having to do any dusting ;-)

I used to use a guillotine like that in school...it was a competition to see how daringly close to the blade you could get without incurring bloodshed 😊 And that is a mahoosive roll of black ribbon! I foresee lots of Goth cards over the next few years 💖

They are the best guillotines for sure. He did good! The reel of ribbon is impressive, frankly, and most importantly , why aren't the cats bothered by the top part of the desk anymore? Have you induced vertigo by moving?!

I still am not used to your new desk view, PJ! And I'm always mega impressed by those many shelves of stamps in view ... and by Dio, of course!! Mr. PJ did a fab job picking up that gorgeous trimmer! They don't make 'em like that any more! The trimmers, either! Hugs, Darnell

That's a great guillotine. I used to have one like that years ago. Lucky you. It looks a really good and solid one too.
Dio looks a very handsome cat. Beautiful fur, lovely color. But he's not looking very happy. Most cats are not photogenic really. Ours isn't.
Happy WOYWW,
have a good week,
Lisca

Your attempt at a tidy desk unnerves me hun, it's just not natural. Thank you for this week's tour of all things Princess, I am coveting the guillotine, that looks to be one sturdy sucker that will not cry at thicker cardstock. Hello Dio, my you are looking fine today. Hugs xx

How clean & tidy your desk is! And love that huge roll of ribbon. Foreverland! Also interested in your vintage paper cutter. Years ago we found one at an estate sale(about 10" square), green, looked like yours. However, the blade was dull (we tried to sharpen it), and then found it just would NOT cut a straight cut.(Not OE this time!) Kept it for display for years, but finally last year when decluttering, we took it to the Goodwill. If yours cuts straight, that is a FIND! Hug your hubby. Loving your beautiful blue circle card too. So pretty. Enjoy your new space. TFS

Hi Judy, thanks for the visit to mine. Sorry I'm a bit late this week but I had a migraine Wednesday afternoon and spent the rest of the day in bed but I'm back now Lol! Loving that roll of black ribbon, very useful. Happy crafty belated woyww, Angela x 24

My husband found a huge industrial cutter from the 1950's or so for me too, at a job site he was clearing. He found 2, but only brought one home, the other went in the trash..so sad! But, at least he rescued one..and wow, is it ever amazing. Although, I won't share the story on how I almost lost a thumb. (they didn't believe in safety guards back in the day).

Boy did you make out with 2 great gifts! I've never seen a roll of ribbon that big & please don't call the paper cutter antique--I used that kind--haha! Happy Mail is always fun! Enjoy your weekend, Judy!
