What's On Your Workdesk?

You show me yours and I'll show you mine?!  *waggles eyebrows*  Mine is very tidy and well-groomed right now.
That is because I cleaned off my desk in a desperate search for my 3x3 acrylic block and my small blue handled scissors.  Neither has been found yet and I may have to take this tidying thing further afield (like to inside drawers, tote bags, random containers, and the piles next to and on the table).  I am very proud of the fact that I cleared out the pile of papers that were taking over the right side of the desk.  I plan to tackle that pile on the left one of these days. It is quite exciting to have access to more desk space.

Bird's eye view
Here are some projects I have been doing.  One is my May A Muse Studio calendar and the other is another card I want to make with some K & Company toppers that I have lying around (in the plastic bag in the white basket on my desk).  I made a card with a butterfly topper previously. I like to purchase the K & Company toppers and tend to use only a few from each package, so I'm trying to rectify that.  It's good to have goals.  Or anyway, people are always saying that.
May Calendar

Project in Progress
The Fine Print: If you know the whereabouts of my 3x3 acrylic block or my small blue handled scissors, please drop me a line since I'm on the verge of just throwing myself to the floor and pouting.  Flower shop, flower stand and row of flower stamps by A Muse Artstamps, cross stitch border by A Muse Studio. Bird topper by K & Company, papers by DCWV "Chateau Lavender."

forget how much I love your desk until I pop by and see it again.
2011 was the year of losing random things for me. I'd start by looking for one thing and find another and by the end of the year only one thing remained missing, my address book.

Nothing nicer than organising your piles

Take care

i just LOVE your desk.... it seems perfect in every way... *sigh*
i cannot believe it would hide your block and scissors - it must be too fine a desk to stoop to such a thing! did you pack/transport/lend them at all???
thank you for stopping by and leaving a lovely comment :)

Oooo! Nice and clean! I love your calendar page!

I tried to email this in response to your comment, but it keeps turning away your email, so: I have that, too. It's made by Imaginesce and it is pretty good, although, I found you have to work quickly with delicate ribbon like silk to keep it from visibly burning the edges. It is GREAT for grosgrain and stuff, though. Seals it quite nicely. Basically, it just uses a hot wire to cut the ribbon.

I feel your pain. I am forever losing things now that I don't have a permanent desk to call home.
Necessity is certainly the mother of invention! I don't have a leaf punch and couldn't be bothered to set up the Bigshot, so a heart it was. Glad you like the idea :o)

Hi Princess Judy,

Oh my, your desk looks like it's calling my name. I still have a corner punch that I can't find.... what a bummer.

You asked what the round spindle thing is -- and you guessed right. It's a display for necklaces I bought from Amazon. The chains are long enough that they touch the table though. I have an idea and the Crafts Fair that I sell at isn't until November so I have plenty of time.

I love your May calendar by the way!!!

Hugs,

I always say that when I can't find something I've put it in a safe place..... and it's still safe! ;) I hope you find them. Love the May calendar and for visiting! Happy WOYWW! Tracy #108

Look at you so neat and tidy!! I confess not being able to find things is the main reason I tidy. But it only takes about half an hour for me to be back working in 6 inches square. I lost an acrylic block yesterday - it slipped out of my hand as I p8icked it out of the tray I keep them in and slipped down between the two worktops. Can't see where it has gone, and I'm not about to deconstruct my work area for one acrylic block. But it bothers me, big time. Honestly you couldn't do it if you tried!! Thanks for popping in to see me, Cindy #65 (Love the calender page!!)

Hope you have found your missing treasures by now. Still, at least, there has been a silver lineing in finding your desk again, and who knows what else you will find in your searches. Thank you for your visits this week and your kind comments. All traces of our fallen tree have vanished. Another neighbour beat us to the useful wood for his fire, and the council came two days ago with their big shredder to removed the rest. Have a good week. xx Maggie#93

Hmmm...I clean my area so I can find stuff, too! lol It usually results in some areas being deep cleaned and 'new' stuff being (re)discovered!

Love in your 'about me' how you said, "...sometimes I sleep." Made me laugh!

Thanks so much for stopping by *last* WOYWW and leaving me a comment. I'm a little behind...

Happy Mother's Day!
