Now that my mother's birthday has come and gone I can share with you the card I made for her. It is one of those twist and pop cards that look like you need a degree in engineering, but really you only need a patient teacher to show you how.

That is awesome! Very very fun for a birthday. I am NOT good with the fancy folds. I have considered getitng the dies for some of them, I think the problem is probably lack of patience on my part!
How fun! I can celebrate every day with cake!
Wow! This is an awesome card - bright, beautiful and scarily designed! I wouldn't dare try and make one that complicated, your Mum must have adored it! I hope she had a lovely birthday! xxx
Excellent. I hope she could appreciate what went into thst design. So scary is right.
Love your pop up and twist card, brilliant design, and this is such a popular fancy fold. I did some classes on it and it was a definite "wow". Now I need cake :) xxx
Amazing card, Judy! I've never made complicated cards like this, but love seeing when you do! This is so festive & pretty--bet your mom loves it!
I love this style of card and your version is awesome. Brilliant paper engineering PJ.

Oh PJ, this one is fun! I have yet to make one of these cards, but I love the pressies, balloons and cake inside! Super cute and fun card!
Wow! This is one fantastic card! I'll bet your Mom loved it! Love these bright, primary colors and the chocolate cake!
Wow! This is really cool!! I need to see if I can find a tutorial! I think this would be fun to create for my mom. I made her my one and only shaker card and wouldn't you know it, it was delivered to her complex but she never received it! Some elderly person took my mother's birthday card AND her present! Sheesh! I like how you decorated the inside. Love the bows and pretty balloons, the cake is pretty tasty looking too!!!!
