It's All Coming Up Roses

A friend of mine gave me this fugly (as in fantastically ugly) accordion style folder box and said I could use it to sort and store already made greeting cards.  She also suggested I recover the box but I like the weird tacky design on it.
I didn't listen to her about using it to store greeting cards either because I have way, way more than that would hold.  Instead, I used it to sort and store my stash of already made images. Those were all tucked away in a hard to remember box and now they are sorted and front and center.
My goal is to use up all those images by the end of the year. Anything left will go into the waste bin. Most of those images are years old already. In fact, these heat embossed roses that I used are probably a good decade old.  Yeah, it's totally time to either use or lose these images.

The Fine Print: Two images down and 100 more to go! This rose was my grandmother's so I'm not sure who makes it but I think it may have been Stampa Rosa. Hello by DeNami. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of my fugly box. Maybe the next time I use images from it....

I'm beginning to think you are the princess of organization. I use an accordian file folder for my snippets (separated by color family), but that's as organized as I get. My pre-stamped images are stuffed in a drawer, but like you, I'm trying to start using them up.

Anyway, I like these ancient roses and the different ways you've used them.

it's kind of fun though, isn't it to look back on that old stuff and see how far we have come. i find myself pulling out already years old colored images and updating them. :) or tossing them!

I admire the goal you set for yourself to use all the unfinished schtuff by the end of the year. This Rose is gorgeous and I'd have no trouble using it to make a card, but keep up the great clearing-out job!!

I LOVE this rose, and it surely doesn't look 'old'. That's an excellent goal, and one I should pay heed to as well. And one start on that would be to gather them up from the various boxes they are tucked away in (you know, you take a trip, you gotta have some images to color, then you get home, bet you can guess the rest!). Love the tiny little folk art heart design against the yellow checks. Stay cool. TFS

Great cards made with your decades old roses!
Funnily enough, I was on a mission to use up my store of stamped images this weekend. I think we should have a mass throwing out of anything left come 31st December don't you?

Hugs, Sarn xxx

What a great idea to use the file for these images - and I love that you are using them - I look forward to seeing how well you go with them. These cards are gorgeous.

I like saving leftovers too...just have to figure out how to use them sometimes.

That's a great idea to use those UFOs in a year or toss them. I need to do that! Pretty roses by the way! At first I thought you were saying they were fugly. Glad you weren't referring to your cards.

Wow! These roses have held up really well both in style and in handling! Lovely roses. Fabulous goal!!! It makes me feel good to hear that you have things from 10 years ago!!! I am struggling to use up some items myself! Beautiful cards!

Great idea to have the images where you can see to use them. I have sacks of stuff years old like that, but doubt mine are usable--time to throw out junk! Yours, on the other hand, are lovely & made great cards! Of course, I'm partial to roses--haha!
