Workdesk Motivator

I decided to join in at What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday this week due to the lack of any other plan.  However, it is basically the same mess as the last time I joined in, only possibly shuffled around a little bit.
It is pretty much the same because I haven't been able to muster up a care.  There is so much on my desk that is now tardy.  There is a prescription that should have been mailed in 3 weeks ago, birthday cards that are all now late, swap cards that are just a stamp or a die at this point, and then there are random piles that I frequently have to pick up off the floor as the cats enjoy knocking them down.
Just taking these pictures and noticing all the late things on there did motivate me to pluck out the prescription and one of the birthday cards to mail. I brought them to work with me, but I only brought one postage stamp.  Which one will get mailed?  Which one would you vote for?
Here's a pretty spring RAK (Random Act of Kindness) from my friend Helen. I plan to put it on my bulletin board on the wall my desk faces. You can even see the empty spot I made for it.  Yes, that's how unmotivated I have been!
And here is a steam punk owl because I promised to show off my steam punk owl next time I joined WOYWW.  However, I didn't make this card; my friend Sheela did.  My owl images are buried on my desk somewhere.  Maybe someday I'll dig them out and make something myself, but it won't be as cool as this card because nothing beats that funky metallic weave ribbon.

The Fine Print: Steam punk owl stamp by Stampendous.  To help you vote if I should mail the prescription or the birthday card I will give you more info: the birthday in question is April 25 and I still have plenty of the medication available.

Oh dear your mojo seems to be lacking somewhat. Do a tidy and then see what happens. Thanks for your visit BJ#52

I vote for the card...it's possible it might make it on time. I've been in the mojo doldrums before and it truly is hard to drag yourself out of it. Good luck, Princess!

Ok, time to climb out of the dumps and put your butt in that chair! And quit blaming the cats!! LOL
It might seem over whelming, but just pick up one item at a time, and before ya know it, your desk will be clean enough for Mr. Mojo to find it. Chin up GF!!!!

G'day Judy
and happy WOYWW. Thanks for dropping by my blog already. Yes the view from my windows and double glass doors distracts me all the time when I am trying to create. I don't think its motivation you lack but spare time! You have a busy life indeed. The cards all look gorgeous...I adore the steampunk look and the owl card just made me smile!

Too bad we don't live close, a lunch date would be a hoot! Speaking of hoot, cute Steampunk owl! (even though you didn't make it) VEry pretty flowers with dotted bg on your first card! LOVE it!!! I hope you were so inspired you actually put both in the mail?

Hmm, well I was going to say send the prescription because I am of a practical mind today (having been to the GP yesterday for all those things one puts off so I am feeling rather virtuous today). HOWEVER if you are not immediately in need of medication (which may or may not be keeping you alive ... it would be presumptuous of me to ask) then certainly, send the card, because it MIGHT get there in time and you will feel good about it, just as soon as it is in the post box :)

If you've got meds, you've gotta mail the card. But.....if you do neither, no one will know. You appear in a craft funk/slump/grump. It will pass. and hey, swaps, late stuff..tidying..it's just card and glue and colours..we're all still living and breathing.

I vote for the card too Judy!

You asked about those really evenly pricked holes round the oval die on yesterday's card. Whisper - they're actually part of the die cut! That's one reason I love it so much :)

I would go for the tidy up and you will find all sorts of things you had forgotten and will then be desperate to use them again Result - mojo returns with a vengeance. Thank you for your visit this week. I am quite pleased with myself in being able to use the caravan. I think I shall stick to my beloved Derwent and get rid of the Spectrums. I just know I will never be happy with them and never use them, so they will just take up space that I could use better. Have a good week. xx Maggie #10

Well, you have very crafty friends, indeed. And I tend to let things pile on the desk for a bit and then tackle them all at once. Should be doing that now, actually. Susanne #76

Oh, Judy - you really aren't feeling yourself, are you? Do something really different, crazy, fun maybe??? Then next time you turn around all won't seem so bad...
Take care my friend - and thank you for your kindness in visiting and wishing John well.
God bless

Hi Judy- its awful when the 'can't be bothered' bug hits, isn't it? We all get like that from time to time. I usually get tidying/organising- I always find something I can do then, or Pinterest provides me with a whole bunch of ideas to try . Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #54 xxx

One step at a time, one card at a time, one prescription at a time, one pile at a time! Maybe starting with pinning that RAK to the board... Hope things kick back in soon!

Birthday card all the way ;) lol! And it's refreshing to know that someone else's cats are just as determined to clean off their desk. Mine like to leave sooty footprints on my stuff right after digging around near the furnace. Jerks. lol
