To be a Kid Again

This is a scheduled post because I have to be at this event all day pretending to be important and professional. Yeah, I know that is almost like begging for trouble.
I made this summer tree card and it made me nostalgic for being a kid in the 70s in Ohio. We played outside all summer long, climbing trees, swinging on tree swings or the swingset, wading in the creek, damming up the creek, catching crawdads, riding our bikes, building forts, playing tag, rolling in the grass and catching lightning bugs. Not only did we not have any responsibilities, we had tons of energy.  Those were the days!

The Fine Print: Stamps and embossing folder by Stampin' Up "Sheltering Tree" and "Decorative Dots." Probably I'll need to hide in my fort after today.

Oh Judy you took me back to my childhood when life was simple and the sun shone every day through the summer holidays.

A lovely peaceful looking card. I'm sure you're doing a great job. Barbxx

So Beautiful! simply gorgeous! I used to swing and sing for hours in the seventies. Catching bugs and roller skating around the streets too... those were the days!

Wonderful card Princess J - and what a perfect childhood you had - mine was sort of like that - outdoors and active all the way.
I do hope you survive the day :-)

Your childhood sounds idyllic! We don't have lightning bugs over here, and I never dammed up a creek, but I DID play outside and have lots of fun, unlike the youth of today who are glued to their electronic devices whether they are inside OR outside! Weren't we lucky . . . we could just go out to play all day and be expected home when we got hungry . . . no-one could contact us! *Sign* I'm thinking of throwing my so-called Smartphone away now!

Hugs, Sarn xxx

Oops . . . go carried away . . .nearly forgot to say how much I like your card. I haven't got this SU set, but everytime I see a lovely card like this I think I NEED it! LOL! xxx

Your childhood sounds like mine, PJ. What a blessing to have so many good memories! Growing up in VT was easy to enjoy summer.
