Birds on a Wire
For some reason embossing folders aren't something I think to use often and I certainly don't think about using them for a focal point or anything but a background. Sometimes you have to get adventurous and try new things though.
For this first card I couldn't let the birdies be, I had to color them in to make them pop out a bit more otherwise they got lost in the overall design. For the second card I inked up the embossing folder, spritzed it with water and then embossed the design. Yes! I actually tried a "messy" technique!
Guess what?! I like that messy technique. So much so that I had to try it a few more time. Stay tuned!

I like how your messy one came out too. The first one works well, too -- did you stamp on it or used a printed paper?
Hopefully one day I'll join you with the messy stuff, but I prefer to work in a clean space! I love how both of these turned out and the embossed birds have suddenly become the focal image of each card! Great sentiments too!
the pop of color really makes a wonderful difference. i love that top card for sure. yay for you using something that spritzed!! LOL
Another great pair of cards Princess J - getting messy is quite liberating isn't it - especially when the results are as spectacular as yours.

I love embossing folders, but seldom do the inking/spritzing technique. Yours came out absolutely great, Judy!
