I bought myself a new die this past weekend so of course I had to use it. The die is reeds and cattails. We used to have some cattails growing near the creek (not crick) when we lived in Ohio. My dad, another crafty person, once cut some down and put paraffin over them to seal them. That way we could enjoy them all year round in the house.
I used lots of snippets and scraps to make this card, so I'll be linking up with Di's Playground Pals. All the die cuts were made out scrap paper, the dotted piece was another scrap, and the cool puffy butterfly was a present from Darnell. I mentioned before that I don't consider quarter sheets of designer paper to be snippets but this was in my "to use up" stash, as was the card base (which matched my scraps!!). So I got to use up lots of bits and pieces to make this card. The inside greeting says "You're toadilly awesome" and you are!
The Fine Print: Frog stamp by Annticipations, large scallop punch by EK Success, oval dies by Spellbinders, cattail and reed die by Cheery Lynn, colored with Copics. I might not be spelling 'toadilly' the same way they did on the stamp, but you get the idea.

Cute card, toadally love it! Well, one good pun deserves another right? ~ and I'll trade you the squirrel for one of our raccoons ;) ♥
Ah ha... cattails is it? Bulrushes this side of the pond... whichever, it's a lovely die - and a great card!

That is one super scene card, love that great frog and your wonderful bulrushes.

Aw, I like your froggie. DH will have to see this one, as he's a frog person. Love those cattails. and that sweet b/fly too. Am really liking your background on this one too. Perfect with all the elements. (We say Creek here in the south too. My DH is from Ohio and I think he used to say Crick, but I straightened him out! He still has some 'funny' words though- Warsh for wash). Get that MB die out & USE IT! TFS & Hugs.
Hi PJ . . . loving your toadily awesome card. So sweet. Nice cattail die too . . . please don't let your dad put paraffin on these ones! xxx
Oh, you've stolen my frog-lovin' heart with this beauty, PJ, and how fun to see you use the butterfly! But carp, girl, you also are an enabler because now I want that die!!! Sigh.
I once brought some cattails home from our local lake. They were fab in their vase in the living room for months. Then I came home one day and they had exploded all over the entire room. Where was your dad when I needed him? You live and learn!
Enjoy the day! Hugs, Darnell
