Here we are at Wednesday again. It was a rough journey between last Wednesday and this. I work at a school and that started last week. Don't go thinking that because it is an institution of higher learning that I don't have wipe noses and hold hands. Plus I had a toothache that I suffered through the week with. Then the dentist (Monday) suggested a root canal with the specialist dentist (Tuesday). The specialist dentist numbed up my face and mouth enough that one could have set off firecrackers in my mouth and I wouldn't have felt it. The good news is the specialist dentist found out that I didn't need root canal afterall. It was a cavity under a filling that had gotten larger, just so you don't go thinking I got drilled for no good reason. I think that fixed the problem. I can't say for sure just yet because I feel a bit battered about the mouth (Wednesday). Also my father has been feeling very poorly lately so trip out of town is considered. Yesterday he was been rallying, so we will see.
Ultimately, what it comes down is a wonky feeling and this:
Yes! It's a desk with a glass on it!! How awful is that? I never drink from cups but it turns out when half your face is numb all you can do with a water bottle is dribble water all down your front. And check it out, nothing new on the desk. It has last week's doings on it--the caning punch and the card I made.
Here's a view of the left side of my desk so you can see something I dislike almost as much as drinking from cups--talking on the phone. There have been lots of long distance (and local) calls lately too. Hey, but I did actually create something! A whole lot of somethings actually. I made multiples of this ATC. Don't show it to my stamp club members yet though; I hate to ruin their surprise. They can see it this Saturday.
If I can stay put long enough I'd like to work on these next. These are my latest issues of Quick Cards and the freebies that came with them. I really would like to play with them and sit down and absorb the magazines. So far all I have managed is a glance.
The Fine Print: Old fashioned telephone stamp by Club Scrap, cardstock by Bazzill, brads and background paper by Recollections, scallop punch by Fiskars. The white scrap is ripped from a book I got for cheap from a library discard sale. Really dumb book especially in the age of Google: V.I.P. Address Book, More than 30,000 Addresses of the Powerful, Influential, and Famous.

Oh no that is a mega tooth disaster. Nothing worse than tooth paint AND working thru it AND a classroom! Well done you for surviving the week so far!
Leandra
Nice clear desk. What's an atc? They look good.
Poor you with your tooth problems. Not nice. Hope it's sorted now x
Hope they fixed your tooth and that you feel better soon. Your desk is very clean. I also dislike the telephone. I don't even have one in my room. Only one in the house for emergencies.
Hope your tooth is fixed and that your father is feeling better, no phone in my room I tried to avoid answering them. Enjoy your Wednesday and your new magazines, Laura
Goodness, you've been through the mill this week - hope it (and your pa) continues to improve...
I love that ATC, but the bit that made it really special for me is the torn piece of telephone directory under the stamp. Superb :)
Hugs, LLJ #45 xx
I love the ATC, its fab! Sorry your week has been a bit rubbush and hope your tooth is all ok now. Also hope your Dad is feeling better. Thank you for visiting my desk and for your nice comments. I hope you have a better week this week. Take care xxx
Hope you your tooth and your dad are feeling better soon. Love your desk - old roll tops make great craft desk - mine was left to me my an old family friend about 25 years ago and I love it, it used to be one of the council officers desk. Great ATC
Fabulous card, love your desk too, I need one like that!
Judy sounds as if you've been through the mill this week. Hope your teeth stop hurting soon. Kick your feet back and chill out with your mags instead. Great tidy desk. Love your ATC.

We are alike when it comes to magazines...I like to go to bed early and read them in bed, alone, with a hot chocolate!
Oh dear poor you, hope everything dental wise is sorted now. Like your ATC and hope you get a chance to read your mags. Thanks for popping by to see me - maybe you would like to trade one day? Cindy #51
I hate even the mention of a D****** ...horrors when a child circa 1956 ...never forgotten.
Love your ATC ....really must have a go at some.

Happy WOYWW! Deb #106
No root canal? That's good news, right? haha! Hope your dad feels better. Lovely little desk you have there, you made me laugh about the glass, I was laughing with you, not at you! ;) As for my Rolodex, it's my stamp index!
Love your ATC and good to hear your dental woes have been sorted. Hope all goes well with your father.
Oh you are so lucky not to have had a root canal. I've had two and just having your mouth open that long hurts! I hope your dad feels better soon.

Wow I love the telephone ATC's, the design is great! Hope your tooth settles down now, I've been having alot of trouble with a tooth too, I had to have the root canal work and am now waiting for a crown :o( Hope your Dad is better soon. x
Hope the tooth continues to settle down, and it does not take too long to recover from all the pulling and pushing around. I usualy have a bottle of water on my desk, and I do have a phone up there too. If I don't have a phone, someone always wants to talk to me urgently. If I have the phone, then I can continue to craft while talking on the phone. Thank you for your visit and your kind comments. xx Maggie #90
My goodness! I have that actual phone on my table here! I hate talking on the phone too, much prefer face to face or internet. I love your ATC by the way. I hope everything settles down for you soon xx
Finally I can comment after two weeks of not being able to! Yay!
Love your blog - you come across as witty and genuine, and your craft work is fab.
Sorry you've had a dodgy tooth lately, not fun! Hope your Dad feels better soon.... Morti @ #10
Aww Judy, what a week, I hope your face settled down soon. Tooth ache is just about the worst pain you can have but at least you escaped with the root canal, which in its self in not very pleasant either.
Have fun with your mags. The “Lets Fly Away” paper stack is so cute isn’t it.
Happy Crafting!

Your desk is great and I love the atc too.
Carol
Ouch! I hope your tooth is feeling better today - I hate the dentist! I hope your dad is feeling better too.
I know what you mean about the phone calls too, I hate talking on the phone - I think my sister got than gene!
Thanks for your comment on my blog!

Princess Judy! You are so right -- that is six photos on my desk!!! haaaa. You are the only one that's noticed (and I didn't realize it either). You knitting is a blankie!!!

Hate the dentist. He is a kind man, but I'm really scared of him :)
Lovely atc. Hope this week will be better for you and you can play with your magazine.
Thanks for stopping by and your kind words.
Sending you lots ofsympathy re dentist - my mouth still feeling very strange after the new crown. Hope your father gets better soon and you have time to read your magazines properly. Thanks for visiting my blog. Anne x
Awwww sorry to hear about your awful experience at the dentist's. I hate going to the dentist... You have my sympathy!
I'm having more or less alternate days at the moment, bad and slightly better, with my M.E. so grabbing what opportunities I can to do things - I'm working on a complicated Celtic knot design in Inkscape that I want to emboss in metal on Sheba! Nothing like jumping in at the deep end, is there.
Happy WOYWW, Shoshi #79
Hi Judy
Aw, I missed some of your postings. Sorry to hear about the dribbling problems - wanna bib honey? I hate dentists but do trot off regularly - then shoot back out of the surgery like a champagne cork after the check up, clean and polish or whatever!
I spied the QCME magazines on you desk - I guess you spotted the article about Jules on Page 62 of issue 96 that I can see in your photo? Jules started the snippets playground off - thanks be that she didn't mention the playground in her interview. It's getting awful busy in here as it is :)) You'll all be standing in line for goes on the swings before long!
Happy WOYWW! Di xx
Oooh sorry to hear about your tooth pain! worst sort I think, hopefully you will be back crafting very soon, love that telephone! Happy Crafting, Sue xx
Hi Judy, sorry to hear about your dental problems and the resultant dribbling but great that it wasn't as bad as thought. I'm still steeling myself for some root canal work, and saving ... it is so expensive! Your ATC is lovely and your comment about the VIP Address Book made me smile ... our telephone directories are shrinking year on year - eventually they won't be worth printing at and become a thing of the past :) Hope you have a fun weekend. Elizabeth x #45
Ugh, sounds like a blah week all round. I hate dentists and never get out of there without needing something done, I ;ve also ended up with TMJ symptoms too because I have a small mouth that is pulled wide open for them to work in!! Hope your dad continues rallying, always hard to live away from family. Hope you get some time to play with the freebies, why is it that American magazines never give out freebies??
Hugs

Awww, gee, Judy, the dentist will ruin anybody's week. Hope you're feeling better soon!
Glad you got in some creativity. :-)
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Happy Woyww! (on Saturday)
