What's On YOUR Workdesk

Hello and Welcome to another great episode of What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, brought to us by Julia Dunnit at Stamping Ground.  WOYWW gives us a chance to visit the desks of other crafters and see what they are working on.  It appeals to my inner voyeur.

Last week my desk was rather tidy.  This week it is not.  There is a lot of pink and red and all things Valentine's on my desk again this week.  I haven't gotten much time to play since last week but I still managed to create a mess.  Here is the table, piled high as usual.

Here's a closeup photo of my artistic masterpiece that I am quite proud of.  It is like crooked Jenga but with stamps.  I'm not sure how that pile is balanced, but there you have it.  My attempts to defy gravity.

I am going out to play with some friends tonight so I made this card as a quick and easy card that we could all do. I am not sure that using the scallop punch along the bottom edge did anything for the card.  I think this is kind of an all-around ho hum card.
I had lots of inquires about the Celtic Knot looking punch I bought.  It is called Caning Pattern and is one of Martha's all over punches. I had hoped to get around to making a card or two with it to share but this is as far as I got.  At least you can see what it looks like.  There is always next week for a card made with it.
When I'm not parked at my desk at home, I'm parked here.  All day, every day, Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week with small bits of time off for good behavior.  I should have taken the photo facing inwards so you could see how small my home away from home is.
The Fine Print: Cherry on top card--all things A Muse Studio except the notch corner punch by Stampin' Up, cranberry cardstock (soon to be retired, get yours now!), baker's twine, twinkle stickers, "Sweet Love" stamp set, heartbreaker patterned paper.

Hello Princess Judy!

I'm like you - a 40 hour/week job that pays the bills (and for the craft supplies) but definitely cuts into my crafting time!

The balance of stamps is impressive, indeed. That card is NOT ho hum - it's sweet. Just like the shake inside!!

Happy WOYWW

Your desk is definitely shaping up for a valentine inspired creation. Yes, there are a few of us out there that have to work to fund the creative outlet.

Most definitely not a ho hum card, it's really sweet! I don't know what a Janga is but that's an impressive pile of stamps, at least they look like you're cleaned them! 40 hours a week too here, but by the time I eat my lunch and travel to and fro it's more like 60! Which is why I don't have time to play with my new goodies!! Love that punch too.

I wouldn't say it was a ho hum kinda card at all. Simply sweet:o)
Thanks for stopping by today. I'm very glad my desk has its legs back too!

Lovely card but that jenga worries me. If it were mine, I would only have to breathe on it, it would collapse and take down all the other piles of stash. Thank you for your visit today. The only way I can cut reasonable accurately is with a very good light source and a magnifying glass, not to mention my wonderful Fiskars scissors. xx Maggie #105

Your highness, I think it is a sweet card, especially love the candy stripe ribbon on top. And I like the scalloped edge too! I'm not going to comment on the jenga masterpiece as I have too many of that going on in my workspace! A wonderfully blessed new year to you and your family! Patsy from

Your desk is beautiful (I mean the desk itself, that is). But I must admire youR Jenga Stamp Pile. If you piled up clear unmounted stamps instead of wooden ones think how many you could fit on the pile! Thanks for visiting my workspace too.

I love your jenga stamps. How long did they stay like that?
I have one of those huge guillitines too but can never found enough room to use it and keep slipping back to my little one!!

Running late as usual….sorry!
I love your version of Stampers Jenga…….a new game to get into the shops before next Christmas may be? Could become very popular!

Your desk is looking very ‘used’ the week, with lots going on and the card you’ve made is fab.
I think we can all be a bit too critical of our own work, me included but I see nothing wrong with your card.

Thanks for stopping by this week.
Happy Crafting!
