My desk is back to its usual boring tidiness today. I have a few things stacked neatly on my desk and the sad thing about them is they've been there a couple of weeks now. I plan to get to them "real soon."
Not that you can particularly see it in the photo above but my one tape dispenser (its part of the black pencil, scissor, etc. holder on top) is empty and the other one is tucked behind a pretty floral patterned box. That's because someone has taken to
eating the tape. Isn't that just crazy?! Who would eat tape?
Who indeed?!
It wasn't me. I was just checking to see if I could find the purr-petrator.
The Fine Print: Nope, it was totally her. I can't keep any tape out on the desk because she'll find it and start eating it. She doesn't just chew it; she outright swallows it. You can't keep rolls of washi tape out either. I'm bummed about the two tape dispensers on top. They are there because I use them all the time. Darn cat.

I can't leave tape out either. My daughter would eat it. LOL!
ROFL Judy! What a norty kitty. We had one that ate rubber bands once, and you'd find poos in the litter tray like strings of sausages (sorry, prob. TMI!!!) - we were seriously worried about her getting an obstruction so had to be ultra careful to pick up every stray rubber band - the postman was always dropping them by the letter box and the kitty thought all her Christmases had come at once! Kitty chewing gum lol! I'm afraid our present 2 kitties are banned from my ARTHaven because although Phoebe is a good girl, Beatrice is too nosey for her own good and gets into everything and pulls stuff out, and distracts me the whole time! She hates not being the centre of attention.
Your desk is an amazing piece of furniture, and it's nice to see it cleared and tidy once in a while so we can all admire its beauty!
Thanks for your lovely comment - it's a difficult balance I've got to find with the bereavement card but I think I can bring it off, especially if it ends up as something beautiful - knowing the family, I know that they will appreciate it. As for the dirty water - lol! What a good idea! It's a scientific experiment to see how long it takes for all the paint to settle out!

Ha your cat's antics made me remember our previous cat. He used to take great delight in eating the wallpaper! He would paw at the wall and start a bit off and then tear! My Dad decided it was probably something to do with the adhesive. Fish paste apparently!

The cat will start pooping sticky tape bundles soon....hope it hasn't been at the glitter as well, you'd be in real trouble! That would be a whole new line in washi tape. Ewwwww.
Actually, it could be the name of the Autumn range of Distress Inks: Purrfect Pet Poo (a nice muddy brown), Terrific Tabby (the first stripy ink pad, lol) Whaddya think?

Your desk always looks so neat and tidy and I am always in awe of that roll top! Out of my 3 cats I have one cat who loves adhesives. I have to hide tape, glue dots, atg gun, etc. I even have to hide any of the pads or envelopes with restick adhesives! Damn critters. Have a great week. Vickie #64
My cat likes to chew on ribbon (there's a lot of it here to keep out of his mouth). He also goes after rubber bands, but has shown no interest in tape. Good thing, too, as I tend to misplace my double-sided tape a lot and I'd hate to have to be checking the kitty's mouth for signs of where it might be.
Glorious neat desk there, Judy. But what a naughty puss... fancy even WANTING to eat tape - you'd think it would get stuck, wouldn't you?

P.S. I hadn't realised just how much Joy looks like her dad until today - I suppose I don't often take photos with the two of them so close together. But, there you go, they sat next to one another at the breakfast table!!

Ha, LLJ might be onto something with the washi tape idea. There are coffee beans that go through some monkeys butt and they pay heaps for it. You might have found the next best thing ins washi tape!! Collection might be a bit icky though :)

tee hee - silly kitty. I once had an ink pad that was mint scented - imagine my surprise to find the label nibbled one day. No cat, so it can only have been pesky mice, sneaking in from the fields, It can't be good for her. And oh my - What a tidy desk! THAT isn't in the spirit of WOYWW :). But it IS nice, isn't it, to begin the crafty day with a clean space?

Ah, be still my heart with that beautiful clean desk, PJ!! Too funny about Darn Cat eating the tape!! How is that she can get past the stickiness of it? You know, sticking to her whiskers or paws? You need to do a CatTube video, sister! That must be a hoot to watch. But then again, maybe not, because the PETA people would be all over you. I love them, but they can be so rigid sometimes!

Oh My! The only time my desk was this clean was when I got it! I have piles of paper all over, a tiny 6" square to work in, but, do have a good idea what's there..Your tape must have a fishing glue on it lol..
