A Second Spring


According to Albert Camus here, autumn is a second spring.  Well, here in Southern Arizona, autumn is a second growing season when the vegetation gets all happy with the cooler weather and feels refreshed from our summer monsoon rains.  What that means to us people is: buy stock in facial tissue and allergy pills.

Today started out like a good old back-east fall day—gray, wet, dreary and quite brisk.  The sky is bluing up and the sun is peeking through white fluffy cards, so soon it will be business as usual here.  It was good to have those few hours of autumnal weather.  And here’s a card celebrating all things fall:
