Workdesk Wednesday: The I'm Still Alive Version

I've been quite sick the last few days but today I'm spunky enough to show you my workdesk as part of Julia's fabulous WOYWW blog hop.  I haven't removed any of the UFOs we talked about last week (the consensus is ditch them or put them away but quit fussing over them).  Instead I just piled stuff on top of them!  Hey, it works for most of y'all.
Sorry the photo is a bit grainy, kinda matches how I've been feeling.  I've pulled out this and that over the past several days trying to settle into a project but nothing really grabbed me.  I think that recent ennui was me not feeling well.
Here's the left side of the desk, with several stamp sets stacked up that I'm even sure what they are anymore.  On top are some dimensional stickers from my friend's estate. There's a stack of cards, cardstock, and random papery things, a leaf punch, ant stamps from last week, my glasses case, the cat-proof tape dispenser, mini pom poms, and a sample card I'm using as a sketch.
The right side of my desk has an old Sizzix die so I can make another Etch a Sketch card, parts and pieces from one of my many kits, a plastic box of die cuts, and two envelopes received in the mail yesterday that I felt too lousy to open. Shall we open them and see what goodies have arrived?
Oooh!  My back ordered Stampin' Up butterfly dies have finally arrived plus I picked up some mini front and back dies on a whim the other day. These will be fun to play with.

The Fine Print: This is a certified Cootie Free post. BTW, I work at a school so depending on the density of illness lurking there tells how likely I am to catch it.  This was a very dense illness, spreading far and wide. Ya gotta love working with the public.

I remember when I first started teaching - my doctor was asked by me why I was always having colds. His reply "you work in a germ factory". Hope you soon begin to feel better.
Never mind the lack of projects - just rest and then you can enjoy those lovely new goodies properly.
Hugs, Neet 26 xx

Oh sorry you have been poorly. I would love a good rummage on and in your desk. Intrigued why you need "cat proof" tape and what makes this particular tape cat proof!
Love your butterfly dies. Need those. You didn't really want them now did you?
Hugs and feel better soon!

Sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather. Since I retired from teaching I hardly ever get colds unlike when I was working. One of the things I found helpful was the spray that Detol sell which is supposed to kill 99% of cold germs. I used to spray round the room in-between lessons, it seemed to work. Vic nose spray is good too. Hope you're feeling better soon, Angela x 34

Pleased to see you still are with us and getting better, horrible lurgy things that hand around are a bother to get rid of. I really loved snooping around your desk today it was really exciting to see stuff there. I have that really old die too, actually a lot of the old ones and will never get rid of them. You've got some really great stamp sets too, Thanks for sharing and I hope you are feeling better soon.

Hugs Eliza & Yoda

Hi Judy. Hope you soon feel REALLY well, and able to play with all those exciting looking things on your desk. Thanks for visiting - sorry it has taken all week to get to folk - computer issues! Yes, silk paper making is indeed fun - looking forward to the group this coming Friday.
Take care. God bless.

It's funny isn't it, how our work (or not knowing what project to work on) shows us that we are not well/getting ill way before we notice it ourselves... it always surprises me that I can tell later that thát was the reason of my 'dawdling'... Thanks for stopping at my blog last week. I'm wayyy late with my visits (but at least all the housekeeping work that I was whining about last week is done, YAY!) Happy belated woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #39
