Workdesk Wednesday for What It's Worth

Here we have arrived at Workdesk Wednesday again and I was on the fence about if I should share my desk or not.  Not much has happened or changed since last week.  I haven't felt like crafting so I've pretty much stayed away from my desk.  I suspect the desk avoidance is because a couple of weeks ago I said I'd finish up the UFOs on my desk before going on to other projects. I don't feel like the finishing up the UFOs any more than I have already.  So it all just sits.
Here are some new items sent to me by a friend.  My, but those are some large stamps!  She also sent me some shimmery gold spray that looks quite interesting.  I spy some items I don't usually leave out on my desk because of cat chaos--a baggie of pink and red ribbons and an open container of heart shaped brads.
This side of the desk is the same stuff from last week with more piled on top.  The cool ant stamps are from the same friend who sent the art dolls.  My Merry Monday card is there, some new dies to match an existing stamp set I have, and a box of baggies so I can sort things for a stamp club project.
Here is something I don't usually show: the table behind me. It is home to the Big Shot and paper cutter but as you can see many other things are camping out there too.  There seems to be a lot of Christmas stamps lurking out and about for it being February.  That's my embarrassing pile of kit boxes you see stacked up there.
That's it for this week.  I'll try to at least shuffle things around for next week to have something different to show you.  If nothing else I may have a new table to show you. That one there days are numbered.

The Fine Print: I don't really have anything to write here except for does it count as finishing them if you just throw them away?  That may be the next step in dealing with UFOs (UnFinished Objects).

:) It's always fun to see your desk! You really do have an amazingly organized space! I like the shelf in the background with your punches. Mine are in a drawer that i can't even reach without moving a table! Sigh. Maybe you could put your UFO's in a little box on the shelf and come to them later? A new table? That sounds fun!!! Hope you have a great rest of the week! I guess I should get up and put my stamping table in order. It's a disaster!

It is going to be so fun to see what you do with your prima dolls... move the ufo's off your desk... then you can have the freedom to play again. ( I am almost ready to move my Christmas cards I never mailed off my coloring desk in the house and give my self permission to color again) ( I am rolling my eyes here) Thanks for the smiles Judy! ~Stacy #66

Those stamps your friend sent are so pretty! I think the girl in the dress is one Sandy Allnock recently colored in a video.

Thanks for your visit to my blog earlier today and for your nice comments.

Happy creating and happy woyww,

Some different views of your desk today, Judy. I love the name building blocks!! UFOs are enough to put anyone off, aren't they? Perhaps move them, or agree with yourself that you will make one new item, one UFO? Or something like that??
Sorry to have startles you with such a short post this week. I agree - technology makes me want to tear my hair out, too. However - today I have succeeded in doing another page on the new church website - and inserting hyperlinks.... without help!!! Getting there slowly.
Take care. God bless.

Judy,

I still have Christmas stamps out and that is because I purchased them after Christmas or just before I can't remember. I plan on doing Christmas all thorough the year but more into this half as it is going to be a hectic year for me with work. So don't be embarrased you might use the stamp for a Christmas challenge or something. Hey if your friend sends you stamps like that give her my address she can send them to me they are wonderful. Give the fluffy one a pat for me.

happy WOYWW

Well I think you should give up on the UFOs - obviously they are stifling your creative spirit so they need to be put away in a drawer like mine hehe. You know I never do get around to finishing mine though. I do enjoy looking at your crafty space and seeing all the crafty goodies! I like all your new stamps from your very nice friend!

Now that was interesting seeing another part of your crafting space. It all looks very organised and a lovely place to work. Hope you have a great crafty week, Angela x 37

Thanks for calling by to visit me this week and for your lovely comments.
I think you should put your UFOs in a box and to one side out of sight so you can get creative again and tackle them when the creative juices are flowing again. :-)

Before I read your Fine Print, I was going to say just bin the UFOs....the world will still keep turning!! If you don't wanna finish them, then that's fine. Chuck 'em out and move onto something that makes your heart beat faster! And after 'that', you can do some crafting :-)

Hi Judy, I love how we all move stuff around from desk to tables, and back! I have a box on my desk that all my UFO's go in- every now and then I grab one out, and see if I can fix it- if not it goes back, lol. Its not getting any emptier. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #13 xx

Teehee I even read the fine print, and I confess I often throw them out! Cute bunny card and even cuter cat xxx

I know, you probably feel obliged to finish those UFOs, but honestly, you must say to yourself "What sort of calamity will befall me if I throw them away?"
Honestly, I need to take my own advice :)
Quite like the doll stamp. I have a few of them of them and yes, they are rather large. A bit too large for cards, that's why you see them on tags so often.
Thanks for dropping by. Have a good week.

I too have a large stack of UFO's some day they will be finished! I hate waste PJ so I just have to keep them. LOve your doll stamp..seen lots paper-pieced. Perhaps some of your spare unused papers could be used on them?Just a thought lol.

I totally get that you are over using UFOs. I put mine in a box and set them aside. I sometimes use them, but I don't FORCE myself to do so. I think it's a bonus if I use ANY of them, so I reward myself with using new stuff. :)

And yes, you may throw them away. I think we need to have a Use By Date for our UFOs, beyond which we are just OVER them, so we can move on.

PS: Those large stamps? Stamp them off the edge, so only part of the image hits the paper.

Oh you did make me laugh with your fine print. Throw them away if they are holding you back I say OR cut them up (if they are cut uppable) and incorporate them into something completely new.

I ADORE that large faced stamp. Gorgeous. Don't know what I'd use it on as am an atrocious stamper but it is indeed lovely.

Thank you for coming to see me already AND for going ahead and posting your desk. Made me smile. And we have the same guillotine!
