This week over at the Merry Monday challenge blog we are asked to use a snowman on our creation. Apparently there are some people who haven't had enough snow yet. I'm not naming names or pointing fingers. I'm just saying...
I have lots of snowmen to chose from but I decided to go for an old favorite. I like this tall skinny stamp and it has matching tall skinny greeting for the inside. The card went together very easily. The papers were on top of my Christmas box and I knew immediately what embellishments to use.
After I put it together I thought I would try my brand new Wink of Stella glitter pen. I painted the snowman with it and was immediately disappointed. That isn't very clear clear glitter if you ask me. My Spica pen is much more clear than this. Now my snowman looks dirty (but shimmery!) so he must be an urban snowman plagued by smog.
The Fine Print: Matching inside sentiment reads: Snowmen fall from heaven unassembled. Stamps by Stampendous, designer paper by DCWV, ribbon by Stampin' Up, faux brad by Candi and of course the Wink of Stella.

Love your card . . . the snowman image with it's border is really cute. I also enjoyed your take on the urban snowman. You made me smile.
Your wink of Stella pen let out too much glitter. Mine has made that mistake twice, and it does make your white look dirty. I always try it on another piece of paper before I use it on my project. Your card is cute anyway. He looks like a city snowman where the snow might not be as clean.
Snowmen look fabulous on cards like this, but IRL, pfft!! I'm enjoying spring at last!
Love that great paper, and single candi dot! Great card!
So cute with that little silver dot in just the right spot. I hear ya on the wink of Stella. I saw everyone's creations with it and thought I would like to try one. I must have chosen a fine point one bc with mine you can barely see the glitter. But I do like it for doing fine point over sentiment die cuts. Except at the moment it is hiding from me.
I am so late for WOYWW that really it's better to stop here. I like the snowman, and I understand that you're mystified by the need for snow and it's reminders. I think you are erm, very tactful about it....
Lovely card. The snowman was made fron snow next to a coal bin. Later he is going to attend a black tie event. LOL. Still looks great.
Hi Judy!
I love your snowman anyhow! Super image you used.
I know what you mean about the Wink of Stella and I doubt if I'd use it straight onto an uncoloured (white) piece of work. But, it does flow fast if you don't store it in something like a pen pot with the lid uppermost. Don't store on its side, even if it whines that it needs a lie down for a while - ask me how I found that out. I reckon that's why they ship the pens with the black ring you need to remove, once open they're happy to 'go with the flow'!
Hope your weekend is going well!
Hugs

Love the polka dots and the snowman is adorable! Real snowmen often have a little dirt and debris on them around here. We don't usually get enough snow for a good clean one. Thanks for sharing with us at Merry Monday! (I had the same problem with the WOS pen.)
Loving those colors and the happy snowman. Maybe he's happy because he hasn't melted yet?
That snowman image has attitude and I love it! Great card Judy, so glad you see you playing at Merry Monday with us!

LOL, Judy....I think your smoggy snowman is just fine! If you hadn't said anything, I would have just thought he had some silver snow thrown in there!!! He sure is cute, regardless...I've always like that image, and it works perfectly with your fun sketch! Thanks for sharing this with us this week at Merry Monday!
ADORABLE!!!! :)
Fab card, love the snowman and great colours too... I love my Wink of Stella pen, but seem to remember being a bit disappointed the first time I used it - maybe it needs time to 'settle in'? Hugs, Lisa x
So excited to see one of my favorite snowmen images. I love how you colored it and bet the shimmer is really pretty in person against those papers. It's a great card.
Hmmm, I've been wondering about those Wink of Stella pens, and whether I actually needed them :) Maybe I don't. Thanks for the info :)
Aww he looks so cute fab christmas card Hun!
