Wrap It Up, Stick a Bow on It

Let's wrap up February, stick a bow on it, and call it done shall we?  I didn't make anything new last night (except a mess) but I do have some cards to share with you from previous.  These are the birthday cards I sent out this month, minus the couple I already shared on my blog.
Here is a "sending cheer" card I sent that in hindsight, actually looks kind of depressing (oops). It wasn't supposed to be depressing, but it does look rather bleak here.  The sky is sponged in the window but you can't tell it from this photo.  It has a nice cheery greeting on the inside. Anyway, my friend didn't slit her wrists after receiving it, so apparently it wasn't as depressing as I feel it was.
Next up, I tried that washi tape CAS card that was being bantered about after Susan at Simplicity made one.   Despite having bought washi tape in coordinating packs, I had a hard time coming up with a couple tapes that looked good next to each other (you know, because I've mixed them all together now).  And of course I had to substitute all that white space with all that green space. And I had to add a flower least my friend think I sent her someone else's card.
Thanks for hanging out with me as I show off cards from this past month.

The Fine Print: Top card-stamp by Stampin' Up, "scallop" border made with circle punches only part-way sticking out.  Second card-stamp by Stampendous covered with glossy accents. Third card-Stamp by Stampin' Up, ribbon from A Muse, tied with embroidery floss. Bottom card-greeting by Paper Smooches, flower by Prima, washi by Queen & Co.

Hi Princess Judy,

All are great cards. I can't see why a bird chirping in a window would be depressing -- maybe if he FLEW into the window and was laying on the ground -- now THAT would be depressing!

On to March!

Hugs,
Kay

oooo all quick and cute!! so nice to see one of the stamps in my pile used by someone else. That old watering can has been hanging around for awhile. Thanks for sharing something with us, even if it wasn't new to you.

What a great gallery of cards and I must say the birdie singing in the window is my favourite - it has a Mary Poppins vibe! Happy March! Vicky x

Love the glossy balloons - and I think the bird is about to fly free and launch himself on a big adventure, so it's exciting not depressing, definitely!

Each of these is lovely, Judy! And the 3rd isn't depressing at all. A bluebird in the window is a delightful thought!

As usual, I really like your cards. The ribbon on the first one caught my eye. I've never done it like that and now I'm going to have to try it. Thanks for the idea!

You've been busy! I also CASEd Susan's washi tape card. It's a fabulous layout.

Wait, what, you MIXED YOUR TAPES?! Cross-contamination?! Those were in a pack FOR A REASON! I might have a box of packs of tapes, separate form the individual rolls I've collected. I'm so lazy.
