Over at the House Mouse and Friends blog they are having a color challenge this week. We are being asked to use amethyst and vanilla and one other color on our creations. You say, "amethyst" and I immediately think of soft spring flowers, which is rather interesting since I live in the desert and we don't do soft spring flowers. We do prickly bright flowers, but that's another story for another day.
I chose green as my other color and this card was born. I don't usually make big square cards but it felt right for this one. I used glitter on the water so there are some sparkles in this card as well as flowers and flourishes. I was quite happy with how it turned out.
The Fine Print: "Flower Raft" House Mouse stamp by Stampabilities, Madera corner flourish by Memory Box, paper flowers by Prima, brad and designer paper from my stash. Break out your House Mouse or friend stamp and join in on this challenge! If your brain is like mind and amethyst and vanilla don't mean anything to you, think Purple and Cream. Yeah, see how much easier that is to remember?!

Terrific card!!! Love the design on this and that pretty non-prickly flower and flourish! The image........OMGoodness.....I have this exact same one sitting on my desk trying to think of some way I could do this to enter the challenge too! No way I could top this pretty card so will have to re-think on another image now! Love your card.

So you should be too as this is a delightful card. It is mostly how a lot of peeps in the UK are getting about at the moment. The flooding is getting very bad. Seems to be no let up with the bad weather either . We have had terrific winds again today and rain with another onslaught coming on Friday. hugs Mrs A.
p.s. BTW I love the colours on your card.
I just love these mice :) And I had to laugh at your colour descriptions...been there.
Smashing card with special mention for that gorgeous backing paper. It's yummy! Lx
