WOYWW 247 and a Late SOS

Last week for my Workdesk Wednesday post I shared not only the rolltop desk that I own but one made specifically for paper crafters that I covet.  Lots of you asked when and if I was going to get that new desk.  I'm not going to because the desk I have is perfectly functional.  However, if a chainsaw wielding maniac comes into my house and chops my desk in half, you know what the replacement desk will be!
Several of you commented that you liked my desk and its drawers and cubbies, but having them means you have to keep the desk tidy enough to access them.  Yes, exactly.  Now you know part of why I try to keep it neat.  Another reason is below.
He doesn't have a chainsaw, but he's definitely a maniac and he wants access to my desk.  The empty spot on top of my desk is so he can sit and greet us as we are coming and going.
Here's a card I made to link up to the Shopping Our Stash (SOS) challenge but somehow I never got around to it before it ended.  The theme was embellishments and this card has a whole passel of tiny blings on it and some paper flowers.  It is pale and pastel-ly and watercolored with gelatos.  I know!  It's like I was pretending to be someone else!

The Fine Print: Fancy dress stamp by Stampendous, paper flowers by Prima, non-chainsaw wielding maniac by Mother Nature.  And in case you want to know what stuff is on my desk for me to play with, I have stuff for a Merry Monday card, a couple of stamps from last week, and whole stack of new Iris Folding patterns.  Woot!

I can see if I had a kitty, I would have to keep a neater desk. Anyway whatever the reason, I am envious! :) Such a cute card too. Thanks for sharing. #85

Love the card Judy, such a gorgeous stamp and thanks for visiting earlier. Yep, packing a craft kit is hard! Love the pic of your cat - why do all cats that belong to a family with a crafter want to be on the craft desk? Mine never want to sit on Hubbys boring desk..guess I answered my own question :) Cx #28

Oh-kay, now I get it.

Well then, roll top desk dream = definitely OVER for me!!!

Great card, Princess!

(My cat was pretty ticked I cleaned up the floor; it took away some of her sneaky cat hidey spots!)

Thank you for stopping by this woyww,

Know what you mean. Thought I was on the wrong blog for a few seconds. Really nice card for a pretend card. It is nice when you can make people do a double take, scratch their head and say "Wha'." I do it all of the time. Trouble is I am the one say Wha'. LOL.

I'd be hopeless with your desk - 10mins of crafting and there's no way those drawers would be opening! Love your pretty, girlie card... it's lovely :o) Hugs, Lisa x

Your card is lovely, Judy. Ah, yes, puss! They do seem to have this habit of being just where you'd rather they weren't, don't they?!
I actually like the desk you have - so in the absence of a chain saw...... it's gorgeous!
Glad you have now met Mabel, and I'll do my best to let folk know what is going on with the dresses - but it's all VERY top secret as you can imagine.
Have a great week.

No need for chainsaws or new desks - as you say, yours is a beautiful piece of furniture and it suits you - barring invaders! I did go and gawp at the Stamp-n-Storage stuff but came to the conclusion that it's designed for more orderly crafters than me... I simply don't have that kind of mind!

Yes, you must keep a spot for the Kitty to perch so he can keep track of things for you. That is his responsibility, and you must do all you can to aid & abet him in this endeavor. You could be reported to someone, otherwise. Not sure who(m?) but I'm certain there must be someone! Your card is delightfully fashionable with all the bling & bits & I loved the chain saw maniac comment. Could team up with my crazy-eyed Irish lass, hmmm? TFS & giving me a chuckle. Hugs

Now wait a minute! That little kitty is much to cute to be hell on "paws" - you're so nice to make a place for him on your desk too!! What a cutie!
Love your card too.....very pretty background paper and of course the flowers are the perfect addition.
I'm always missing challenges too....in fact, have a post coming up on Friday that was for one last week!

NO ONE can create with SO MUCH SPACE! How do you do it? Where is your inspiration? I find mine all over my desk.

Don't get me wrong: I do like it when I do a clean sweep and start over, but it lasts about one card, then it's back to normal.

I'm also allergic to white space. Coincidence? I think not.

Your card is so feminine and spring-y. It's perfect for a cold, rainy day like it is here. I have about the same amount of space to create and I find it I have more, my mojo goes missing.

Give Dio a tickle from Yoda and I, I do like his little posse for saying hi and bye. Looks like he is a very messy eater like Yoda, spreading their food everywhere but in their mouths. Very pretty card, so sweet.

Wonderful card, are you sure YOU made it? LOL It really is a pretty card.
Thanks for stopping by even though I'm not linked up this week. Just too many "life" things on my plate. (well, really it was a planned playdate with an old friend)

Now it all makes sense ... The keeping the desk tidy my little drawers are on a shelf so Ivan get at them all the time.but your desk has more style. The pen you see on the desk this week IS the list one but I lost it between taking the picture and going down stairs to write the post it wasn't until I looked at the picture again that I saw it ..... How dumb am I .
Dumb enough to give myself the pressure of decorating the shapes for next week .... Agh!
Pretty card

Hi Princess Judy,

Your roll top desk is beautiful so I can't imagine any chainsaw weilding action is needed. I like the clear space you have for kitty. Very thoughtful of you!

Your card is very pretty - I do love the pastels.

Thank you for visiting me already!
Happy belated WOYWW

Lovely card, and I can just imagine the carnage when your gorgeous feline decides its desk sitting time!New link at #102, as my first one linked to last week. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz XX

Ya see, I was a going to comment that the pastels! dressy card was out of character....but of course it's not really is it, because you're a artist and a artist is a chameleon. I read it somewhere. Or pulled it from my derrière!, you decide. I love the demarcation line on top of the desk...it amuses me to think that you keep the space clear. Wouldn't the gift from Mother Nature sit on top of whatever you put there anyway?

LOL Looks like you could do with a chainsaw wielding maniac to come by LOL. Thanks for the visit this week BJ#30

Bleubeard and Elizabeth said...

After a disastrous week and weekend, I'm finally able to stick my head above water long enough to return your visit from last Wednesday.

So, did you steal Bleubeard, or what? Of course, Bleu isn't allowed near MY craft area, even though he likes to attack papers. Had to laugh at your maniacal chainsaw wielder. Pretty sure you have my cat, when you said that!!

So, are you keeping the desk, or did you get lots of people to chip in and get you the other one (grin)?
