Bee All You Can Bee

I thought I'd pull out an old and previously unshared card for this President's Day (observed) Monday, which is not a holiday where I work because we do this "thang" called Rodeo later in the week (give me two days off work to celebrate hunky cowboys in tight jeans over one day off for some old dead bigwigs any day).
This card was made for my big stamp club as part of the mystery challenge card exchange.  How it works is you are given something--you don't know what, hence the mystery--and you have to use it on a project.  The mystery item this time was the piece of silver sequin waste.  For some reason it made me think of honeycomb so I made this card with a bee on it.

And yes, live the life you've imagined unless you are like me and have a really twisted imagination and then maybe pare it down a little and then live it....   ...especially if it involves hunky cowboys in tight jeans.

The Fine Print: Although, you may want to rethink that cowboy thing, since they think eight seconds is a long time.  You know what I'm sayin'?  Bee and bee die by Stampin' Up, not sure about the greeting as I made the card several months ago, designer paper from my stash.

I'm with you on the hunky cowboys in tight jeans! I always tell Jim, I may be old but I'm not dead yet!
LOVE this card! That looks just like a little honeycomb behind that wonderful bee.

Your card looks really cool with that honeycomb! I love the background paper and colors. As for your rodeo, I wish you a hearty YEE-HAW! :)

what a great idea and way to be challenged. that is a FUN idea.
i don't like bees AT ALL, your card makes me feel crawly, but i do think it is a really well done card and great way to think about the sequin piece. i like the BG behind it to make it pop. Yeah, i have been known to take pics of the bees even though i get that crawly feeling when I do. :) also i have some bee stamps hiding in my stash and they are going to have to become part of that Use It Up goal so bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz away.

Not so much with the 8 seconds, lol! God you're hilarious :) I love the idea of using that for honeycomb - totally works! And I can't quite live the life I've imagined either, mostly because I haven't found anyone who will actually worship me. Yet.

Brilliant call on the sequin waste honeycomb... and I'd be surprised if they can last eight seconds - I mean, with jeans that tight....

Trying to conjure up hunky cowboys instead of our partners here. Now that IS good!
Great card and you get extra browni points for using bees!

Oh, loving that honeycomb look under your bee. And those cowboys...they usually look better with those tight jeans on!
