Aww.....Teacup Kitty

I know many of you probably popped by here looking for my Rudolph Day challenge, but you'll just have to hold your reindeer, because we aren't emotionally prepared for Christmas cards today.  Today I have a sweet little kitty to be admired by all.
You know how it goes, sometimes you want to make a card using a particular stamp.  Sometimes it is an embellishment that you wish to use.  Other times it is the paper that begs to come play.  This was one of those cards.  I really wanted to use this paper so I poked around in my stash until I found a stamp that would look good with it.

I'm am going to link this up to the Snippets Playground because I've done some soul searching about snippets.  In the past I never considered a quarter sheet of designer paper a snippet unless it is like the lone sheet of Halloween paper lurking around.  But I've since decided that I needed to include these pieces of random paper that I only have one or two of, especially ones like this one that I've had for years. I have other snippets in here too--the brad, the matting piece of pink, and the waffle textured flower.  It's all good!

The Fine Print: Stamp by Crafter's Companion colored in Copics, paper flower by Prima, glitter brad from my stash, and designer paper from my really, really, really old stash.  Seriously that paper is at least a decade old.

Judy, your card is brilliant, I love the dramitic black and orange. And, what a cutie little cat, she looks so snug in her cup napping with not a care in the world.
Thank you so much for your kind comments.

Wonderful shading and colouring...I am hopeless at that...never can see where the shadows should go!

Pretty card...and good to use your snippets. I have a filing cabinet full so sometimes feel like I will never use them up!

aah, now just what does constitute a snippet? I think I've got a dozen or three thousand in my stash. Great little card and using up stash - a result in my book. Anyhow I digress, only stopped by to let you know you have won the February giveaway - I have your address from some time ago but I don't think you've moved (not that I've google earthed you or anything)but if you have let me know the new addy pdq. Ohhhh, that really is some cool paper! I love how it mirrors the tiny flowers on the teacup too! I guess my sweet tooth is calling me, because the embossing on that flower reminds me of nutter butter cookies! Is it just me???

I love the paper too & it's wonderful with this tea-kitty in her pretty pink cup. I'd say if it's not a whole piece of paper, or one you've had but just discovered, snippet would work for me!! (Now a whole pack...welllll..but just a lone piece rediscovered? Yeah, a snippet!) Also a delightful card and will make Parsnip very happy to have a friend pop in the gate too! TFS & Hugs
