Workdesk 221

Oh dear. I'm afraid I may be boring the What's on Your Workdesk crowd already and I'm only two weeks in.  That's because my desk looks pretty much like it did last week.
I did do a little work on my leftover bits that are embarrassingly still on the side of my desk months later. I made a bird card that seems to be lacking something, but at this point I'm not sure what. I also started another card that I'm not sure where it is going, but I am determined to use up that stash of stuff sooner rather than later.
What do you think it's lacking?  Or needs to achieve perfection? Or as close to perfection as we can get? Should I just set it on fire?
Poppy says hi.  She loves that I keep a pile of Club Scrap boxes next to my desk.
My table is a little different this week.  There is a small pile of stuff on it instead of a cat.  I did a wider angle shot so you could see the shelves in the background (and the cat litter boxes, I mean why not, they play a prominent part of my life).

The Fine Print: Stamps by Simon Says Stamp "Music to my Ears" set, papers by Basic Grey "Serenade," and bird by Tim, Tim Holtz, but of course, Julia's favorite die.  The plastic bin on my table is by Taylored Expressions and may it get used soon as well!

Shamless promotion: If you are interested in joining a challenge I am hosting, check it out HERE.  I wrote about it on my Monday blog post as well.

Hello to you and Poppy...Your desk looks pretty darn neat.. time to get in and mess it up a bit. I like the bird card and it really needs nothing more. Maybe a leaf or a pile of tiny leaves in the bottom right hand corner....but it's perfect just the way it is....Have a great week....Me

Hi Princess Judy! Thanks for stopping by my desk earlier while I was out and about! Wow! Tucson Arizona is a long, long way from where I am in the UK! I love Poppy! She has the most distinctive markings! I think the bird card looks just great as it is; but I'm just wondering...brads in the corners of the little centre piece of card with the actual bird on? Or do you think that would be too much? Have a great week and I'll try to call on you next Wednesday! Julie Ann xx #42

Hello Princess Judy,

So glad to see you! The card looks great to me -- but if you want to add a bit of pop maybe add some red to it somehow? Maybe red twine instead of the brownish?

Hmmm, I think we definitely don't need to get our Poppy's together!

Thank you for stopping by. I haven't been blogging on any regularity lately - hope that changes real soon.

Hugs,
Kay

What an organised space - Oh my, I am so jealous. I seem to never have the time - or inclination - to get really organised like that.... oh well, hey ho!
I think you must be the first to visit me before John - thank you!!! He's getting all the visits today 'cos he linked in whilst I was making the early morning cuppa - cheeky, hey? Thanks for the visit.
Have a great week.

I haven't seen you for ages, nice to see you back. I love your roll top desk and don't care if it doesn't change much, it's a joy to see it. I like the birdie card as it is but as Kay said, maybe a little something red near the bird.
Have a great week.

Oh, how I love that desk, PJ! You can show it every week, just the same as the week before as far as I'm concerned! Loved Poppy and the panned out vista of the neat space, too!

I think (just IMHO) that your sweet bird is too dark, like it's in the shadow, but he's supposed to be up front, you know? Recut him in blue (maybe not the navy?), and see if that looks better. If that's too blah, than go bright, like a bright red cardinal! The way you have done your background is great! Enjoy! Darnell

I love your roll top desk and I'm now regretting leaving mine behind in Australia :(
Your space is so organised...like a art suppliers store. I'd love to peek in all the boxes!
Love Poppy ^..^ It always amuses me where they find to perch just to be as near as they can to the action!
Thanks for popping over to my place earlier.
Have fun desk hopping

I love your desk and sometimes it seems you have to walk away and let inspiration seep in at its own rate. Your little bird card is lovely, maybe a wing would add some dimension to him? Annette #9

Hi there - I always have a bit of clear kindyglitz [glitter glue] handy and if a card just needs something a bit of sparkle usually does it - like just a few random spots on the yellow spots around the birdie - hugs - Thanks for popping by Happy WOYWW Mxx #48
