With Sympathy

On and off since about Thanksgiving I've been puttering with some leftover kit bits. This kit just never did it for me with the weird wrinkled cardstock, the dark card topper greetings, and the oversized cards.

In the end I cut them down to A2 size, added ribbons and flowers. The end result was something I'm not too displeased with.

As for choosing to show you the sympathy cards first they fit my somber mood today. I'm reeling over the news of Leslie The Crooked Stamper's passing.  She always was so vibrant, creative and encouraging.  We should all go die cut or stamp something today her honor.  Just don't use pink!

The Fine Print: Card kit stuff from Club Scrap "Henna" and other stuff from my stash.

Your cards reflect my thoughts today at the news of Leslie's passing. She will be so missed in blogland. It was just her style to leave us laughing with that Christmas "Cod" she made a few days ago :)
I rather like the crinkled paper on your cards - it looks rich!

Good for you on using up a kit you weren't so keen on.

I'm sorry to learn of your loss.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

That is very sad to hear... and your cards fit the thoughts very well.
