Workdesk Wednesday: Workdesk Friends

Birthday card from Eliza (& Yoda)
It is a somber, rainy, gray day today here in the desert; a fitting day to say goodbye to our dear on-line friend, Eliza. Like my other Workdesk Wednesday friends I never met her but I got to know her and dear sweet Yoda through her weekly posts, messages, and private emails.  She was always so full of creativity and life and will be sorely missed.
Something not full of creativity and life is my desk.  It is full of this and that. I've also subscribed to the tried and true method of shove it back out of the way. I'm working on some little thank you gift bags but there is way more stuff on my desk than that. It must multiply in the night.
Folks keep asking me why my kitties haven't made an appearance on my desk lately. I don't know about the other days but today it was because it was breakfast time.  Poppy was in this picture but scooted away as soon as she saw the camera (she is convinced it will steal her soul).  Cindy was busy watching the birds and the thundery clouds out the window.

I had some other crafty things to show you but that can wait for another Wednesday. I have it on good authority that there will another one next week.

The Fine Print: I feel my post isn't complete without fine print, but really I got nothing to write down here. Do you like the cats' fancy place mat? They have two, one of the dry food and one for the wet food.  Hubby and I have none.  What does that say?

Lovely words about Eliza....she was such a support to me, always commenting on my desk and goings on. She was so full of energy, giving and creativity. I can't believe she's gone.....
And yes...the cats' place mats are very lovely, lol! You and hubby could always borrow them one day :-) !!

Sometimes I wonder if the dust bunnies collect stuff out of the trash can and redeposit it on our desks, or something like that. LOL! I rarely get pics of our cat. She loves to be outside during the day, she's such a hunter. Thanks for stopping by and glad you got your goodies! Happy WOYWW!

Bless you PJ! What a lovely post, both for Eliza and also featuring your kitties. Gosh though Eliza and Yoda will be a hard act to follow won't they. I bet Dino has a few words up his paw 'bout that. Much love and also............

Hugs

So sorry for the loss of your blogging friend - that's so sad. As for the fine print, I'd say you and the hubs are either extremely neat eaters and need no place mats, or else you're grab 'n go eaters and don't need a table to serve food! Either way, everybody (including the kitties) seems content and happy :)

How lovely to see one of Eliza's cards. I am another one who is going to miss her greatly, and Yoda of course. I am so very sorry to hear the news.

Judy, you always raise a laugh with your comments!!! Hamburger patties for goodness sake! Lol!! Going back to my blog post to have a look, yes, I agree, the brown ones do look a bit like that, but what about the grey ones? Lol! And you're not an idiot. Just crazy lol!

Thanks for giving me a good laugh as always!! Definitely trying to keep my end up in the trouble-causing department. Feeling a lot better mid-way between my treatments.

Happy WOYWW,

Love your kitties. Animals never do what you want them to. I virtually have to fasten my two down if I want to photograph them.
Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 30

Hello PJ. I'm sorry for the loss of your online friend. Sometimes our blog buddies seem to feel closer than those IRL. (maybe it's easier to share true feelings if you realize you'll never be face-to-face?). What a nifty design on the card that Eliza created for you. Love all the lightheartedness of the floral stems, so can see you had a most caring relationship. And I'm liking your desk. Looks like I'd feel right at home! Bet it is quite a novelity to have rainy days where you live. Relaxing, to listen to rain pitter-pat, I hope. TFS & Hugs

Dear Princess Judy. Your post on my blog made me giggle.Thank you. Your cats are so cuddly cute. And by the way they are going after breakfast, they feel so deprived. LOL Mine jsut want treats and be as close to me as possible. I should have included pictures of them this week in honor of Eliza and Yoda. Something for next week. Creative Blessings on your week! A lovely card from Eliza. She will be so missed. One less Aussie woywwer. Her posts were always interesting and I loved seeing Yoda ... I think we all did.

So, you have FIVE furry friends! Have we ever seen them all in one shot? It could be difficult, as they say, "like herding cats".
