WOYWW - The In Progress Version

In honor of What is on Your Workdesk Wednesday here is my desk.  It looks about the same as always with a slight change in cat.  That's not where all the action is though.
Before I show you the action I want to refresh your memory of my stash closet, also known as "The Motherlode."  Here's a photo from last month.
Here's the same closet, different angle, today. As you can see I am starting to dismantle and remove everything.
Why would anyone dismantle the craft closet you ask?  Well, since this is finals week here, let's have a little quiz.  Don't worry if you haven't studied; it is multiple choice.

Q: Why would anyone dismantle their craft closet?

A. It's time to dust the baseboards, silly!
B. It's good organization to rearrange things from time to time.
C. It's good to take your stamps outside for an airing at least once a year.
D. It's because someone had a birthday and has a new piece of furniture.

The correct answer is:
Um... yeah.  So my new/used cabinet didn't come with hardware but I'm a crafter and I can fake it until I get some.  And yeah..., Dio is sticking his tongue out at you. And yeah...., there's a paper holder that isn't going to fit in that closet anymore and double yeah, there's a mess developing in my living room.  It's all good though!
The Fine Print: The cabinet was used in my favorite furniture store to display hardware for sale and I always wanted to buy it and it was never for sale.  They are moving and now it is for sale!  It's things like this that make me glad I own a pick-up truck.  And it is bee-yew-tee-full enough that maybe someday it can come out of the closet and proudly sit in a real room.  They have another one for sale but my pockets are barren; maybe after I sell that pile of paper under Cindy in the first photo!

Hi Judy, You certainly have your work cut our for you, but your new cabinet is FAB!
The best part about rearranging is that you always come across things that you forgot you had . . . little surprises here and there. Have fun!

C is the answer lol That's a fabby new cabinet I've been looking for something as interesting as yours to use and hope one day to find something. That would be fun to find unique knobs for it too. they say when a cat is sticking his tongue out he's really smiling at you :)

Wow, Judy. Talk about envious. I am in total AWE of that gorgeous new piece. Looks like you have your work cut out for you, though. The BIG question is, will you actually dust the baseboards (grin)?

Thanks for the earlier visit. Happy WOYWW from #9.

Oh yeah...I understand your furniture fixation! I've always loved things with lots of drawers in so that new cabinet really floats my boat too. Gorgeous. Think of all the fun you'll have sorting your stash out into those different compartments. I'd have a differents drawer for all my haberdashery accoutrments!!

Wow, that's a fantastic piece of furniture, Judy and I can see you are not the only one who loves it. I thought you had to give your stamps an airing once a year...are you saying you don't??? lol.
Thanks for popping by earlier.

Totally agree with B, not so much with A :) As to hardware, check out Curbly. I just saw how to make gilded drawer pulls there, cheap version of expensive Anthropologie ones, I think. Or maybe you will come up with something interestingly crafty...I rather fancy knitted covers over golfballs LOL!

enjoy the process.

Happy pre-crop WOYWW!

Awesome cupboard - yes I wonder what you will come up with for the hardware!! It will all go back in (just keep repeatingt he mantra) even though there will definitley be a point when you wonder how it was all in there in the first place! Happy WOYWW Cindyx

Sorry to say this but the cats have stolen the show this week along with that amazing cupboard, you have to find a way to get the other one otherwise you will be kicking yourself. That cupboard is really amazing. Thanks for sharing.

That cabinet is beautiful, Judy. Love it - haven't the height here for anything quite like that, as the room I work in has sloping ceilings - and not a very tall wall!
Enjoy moving everything around....
Thanks for your visit - no, I don't know much about cellulitis either, except that your perception is right - PAIN! However, John's arm is very much better, and no longer swollen. The intraveinous antibiotics may have been (in the Dr's words) corrosive on the skin, but they did the trick! Now we just have to get rid of the last bugs left in his lungs... an on-going battle there which feels never ending.
Take care of yourself - hope your barren pockets perhaps find a little something for the second unit...
God bless.

Wow, how good is that new storage!! Isn't it wonderful when you find exactly the right piece of furniture! However ... the kitties are still trying to take centre stage :) They are sort of in charge, aren't they?
(Oh and Happy Birthday! What date was your birthday? Mine was 6 May.)
Thanks for your kind comment about that die. It is rather good, isn't it :)

How great that you were able to get something you've been longing for! I bet it'll be awesome when it all comes together, whether it's in the closet or not. Oh, and the kitty with the tongue out cracks me up. Thanks for the smile.

SCORE on that cabinet!!!!! I'm sure you can fashion drawer pulls of some sort. Might even be worth real knobs!
