House Mouse--Anything Goes

Yesterday I had a play date and I started making some oriental themed cards (which are really hard for me for some reason).  As a lark I included my fortune cookie eating House Mouse stamp and this card was born, which is perfect for the Anything Goes challenge over at House Mouse and Friends.
I once received a fortune from a cookie that told me I should consider a career in higher education. That's where I've worked for the last 25 years, so don't discount those fortunes so fast!

The Fine Print: "Happy Fortune" stamp by Stampabilities, designer paper by unknown, sequins by Karen Foster (I think).  The fortune you seek will be found in another cookie.

Just couldn't wrap up for the afternoon when I saw the house mouse pop up. One of my weaknesses. Great coloring. Love the card and the offset background.

He's a real cutie. I've never had a fortune cookie be that clear with me - they usually say stuff like "If your desires are not extravagant they will be granted" (guess my desires must be extravagant then), or "Nature, time and patience are the three best physicians" (think my doctor might object to that one), and so on...

I can't do oriental. I can't get past black red and gold, and that just looks derivative. So now I don't. Liking the little HM....man, I'll have to eat a lorra fortune cookies!

Love this stamp, it is sitting on my stamp desk waiting to be inked up. Now I have had the inspiration I needed to do just that. Really cute card, and loving the pastel colors.

Now there's a thing. I have pot loads of sequins but never think to use them on cards! Did the job or the fortune cookie come first that's the question. hugs Mrs A.

This is really cute. My daughter has a pet rat, so I am one of those crazies who thinks things like mice and rats are cute in real life--they are always cute on paper. Great advice about the fortune.

Ah, a real cutie PJ! Love that you kept away from black and red, which is always the Oriental route I choose.
