A Week of Workdesks

It's time for that weekly blog hop I enjoy so much, What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.  Rather than bore you with the usual shot of my tidy desk I thought I'd prove to you that I do use my desk and get stuff out.  I decided to take a picture each day when my desk was at its messiest, which is kind of hard to decide when that is.
Above is a shot from the evening of last Wednesday's WOYWW post.  You can see that I've pulled a few things out since the morning and made a few cards.  I had already started to tidy up when I remembered that I meant to photograph first.
This is from Thursday evening.  I was pulling things out for a play date at a friend's house the next day.  I also got out a pile of St. Patrick's stamps and ribbons to remind myself to make something with it.
Friday night has all sorts of things pulled out, cards I made at my play date, cards I made last week, images, photos of snow on Valentine's Day (ick), embossing folders, dies, and my big green directory.
Saturday. You can see the Just Cards magazine I had out to garner inspiration from.  Sorry I didn't take this photo at a good angle to see what all is on there, but it appears to be a lot of the same stuff.  In fact, I didn't pick up my desk Friday or Saturday night.  I paid for it Sunday morning when the cats proudly showed me their crafting handiwork made by tossing the stuff I have off the desk.
Sunday.  I didn't feel like creating anything so I dragged out a bunch of old cards to package up to give to a friend.  I picked up this mess and then made another one after I got in the mood to make some cards.  Then I picked up that mess.
This is from Monday night when I started to play with the St. Patrick's Day stuff.  You can see that I still have some of the same stuff out on my desk, only tidier along the edges--the embossing folders, the cards, the stamps. The card in progress didn't get finished before I called it a night.
And last of all, my desk from Tuesday night which is how it looked this morning since I didn't get anything out. You can see the hanging heart piece that I won from Cindy's February blog giveaway and the pieces of the St. Patrick's Day card I'm working on.  I just tossed it together so you can get an idea of what it will look like.

The Fine Print: St. Patrick's day stamp by DeNami Designs. Yeah, that's all I got today.

My pots of ink were closed tightly before I went to bed!

You are a well contained crafter Princess Judy and you play well with others. Thanks for your visit and thoughts.

I love that cute St Patrick's Day card with the plaid (eek!) and beautifully colored image! I tip my hat to you for being able to create, clean-up, create, clean-up etc. I leave the mess until I no longer have work space, and then clean-up! LOL

Well, that's a good idea showing the day to day progress of your crafting. It's amazing how much you get done! Now my machine is safely back home, I can't wait to get on with some serious sewing :-)
The mad leprechaun chickies are fun btw!
Hugs, LLJ 44 xx
PS Yarnbombing is where crafters sneak out and cover benches, lamposts, railings etc with knitting or crocheting. I'm sending my scarf to be joined with others to stretch 7 miles between two nuclear facilities in the UK!

Very cute St. Patrick's Day card. Also peeked at the previous post after getting a glimpse of the rain boots. Very cute.

Being Irish, of course I love the St. Patrick card. I'm with you. can't stand a messy desk. Well...a desk that is hiding things I need...uh...a cluttered desk. You know what I mean! LOL. REALLY like the hanging heart.

Enjoyed the desk progression pictures. Still looked quite tidy to me. (maybe some bacon dancing might be in order, just round the desk mind. Wonder what your cats would think?) Your heart hanger is so pretty, and I'm loving the bright St Pat's. The dp is super nifty - bring on the shamrocks & the little Irish critters just cute as can be. Glad you got a laff on the True-isms. TFS & Big Hugs, PJ.

If that is the messiest you get from day to day then you are doing really well, my room would look like a bomb had gone off regardless of how small the job. At least you have been craft active, good for you.

Have a great week

Hey Judy, thanks for the visit yesterday, sorry for the late visit from me. I was still a bit jetlagged and couldn't really focus!! Love the week in the life of..your desk! What a great idea. I am having a playdate tomorrow, whilst I am home, super excited. Cx #79

Hey Judy, do you make your photos smaller before putting them on your blog? I used to do that until DH said I didn't need to. Blogger makes them a good size for the blog but if you click on a photo it enlarges to the original size whereas yours just stay the same and I really wanted to have a nose at the detail of your daily desks. Never mind - the robin you saw on the birdtable is a metal sculpted one quite a bit bigger than the real things. It is quite funny when the real one lands on the metal one's head! Thanks for the visit BJ#67

I just love your desk, I have an old one but it's not as nice as this. I have never seen desks like this in the UK or I would definitely be tempted to buy one. It has obviously been a very busy desk this week.
Happy crafting, Angla x 63

You really have been a busy lady this week, Judy. I loved the daily desk shots - don't think I would dare with mine... brave you!!
Thanks for visiting already - and for your comments. Yes the yarn for the cardigan is amazingly soft. Hope hubby likes the finished product - when he gets it! Nothing more done yet this week, as I do it when he is downstairs and wants some company - and he hasn't been downstairs for the past two days. At least his art studio is upstairs!!!
Have a great week.

What a great idea! I knew you were using your desk even when we weren't around, but this was fun to see.

(I'm not woywwing this week--thank you for stopping in for a visit anyway, I appreciate it!)

Interesting take on WOYWW, Judy - a desk a day! I really love your desk - such a beautiful piece of furniture, and it looks even better with all your crafty activity on it!

I'm very late visiting any desks this week - not been in my ARTHaven much all week as I haven't felt too well and also been busy learning new video editing software, starting the accounts and doing other things. Hope you've had a good week.

Happy very belated WOYWW,
