Bad Words Were Spoken

So once upon a time, not really that long ago, I was looking for something on the web and ran across this cool looking card design. I said to myself, "Eureka! Look at that!"
The reason it caught my eye is the petticoat (crinoline? frilly thing?) under the dress looked like a cupcake paper and that is just what I have this month as a mystery challenge item. So, of course, I had to try to CASE the card so I could use the cupcake paper I was given. Ours was a mini muffin sized paper so I could only get one layer of poofy thing under the dress, but it is all good.

I do want to say that I destroyed lots of designer paper trying to get that dress folded in nice pleats and looking correct. I even said a bad word or six. Engineering is not my thing. Apparently, neither are paper dolls.

The Fine Print: All the parts except the cupcake paper by Stampin' Up, dress form die retired but everything else is current.

This is so cute. I've done a dress from a doily, but it always looks like a wedding dress, so I think this idea is much more versatile.
(Hasn't the mystery item been a cupcake liner at least once before?)

Well, words may have been said but you ended up with a stunner! I love the colors. I noticed the ruffle right off and thought it was adorable! Gorgeous dress and I love the banners! I have to say I am not engineering minded either. That's why most of my cards are A2. period! I take absolutely FOREVER when I do anything out of the ordinary. I am glad you persevered because this is lots of fun!!!

I LOVE this one, as it brings back those crinoline memories of wearing dresses in my youth. I love the cupcake liner beneath the colorful skirt - it really does take me back to those days for a brief moment...........and then I come back to my beloved jeans and flats once again :) Super cute and creative card!

So gorgeous! Love the vibrant colours and the dress is so pretty with its cup cake underskirt. It was worth the trouble it caused you and the bad words you said! Of course, I never say any - cough, cough!!!!!!!!!!!
