Wow, it's WOYWW

Today brings us another installment in As the Desk Turns, brought to us by Julia Dunnit.  Will it be a messy day? A tidy day?  Will the desk be a garden bench?  A courtroom bench? (that wasn't me, you can't prove it and those video tapes were faked) Will Tim play a prominent role in this week's episode? Has anyone glued themselves to their desk?  Has anyone started reading their altered books?  What are the sewing machine gang up to?  For the answer to this and many other questions that you didn't even know you had, tune in now to What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday (commercial free and mostly word verification free).

Here's a new shot but y'all will probably think it is a rerun:
My new A Muse goodies, a couple of the sets that are on special this month and some of their great cardstock (colored on one side and white on the other).  The metal ruler is my go-to edge distressing tool.  It works great.  You can also see my egg dies that I got at the convention.  Fun stuff, but I ended up not using for this year's Easter cards (all two of them).

Here is a new view of my desk so you can see where I roost when I'm doing crafty stuff.  The door is the front door to the house, so you walk in and there I am.  I have a super awesome shelving unit of punches that you can barely see peeking out on the right side of the photo. There is a little pony wall behind my desk. I share my corner with the lidded litter boxes, which you can see the tops of poking out above that bright green piece of paper in the lower left corner.  The need for the kitties to get to their boxes is what keeps me from piling things up too high around me.

And here's a photo of Poppy.  She's drowning in paperwork today.  I've had days like that.
The Fine Print: It's all good, really.

Hi there - it's a paid up member of the Sewing Machine gang here - Pins McCurtain's the name. That's a nice gaff you've got there, shweetheart, bet you're a dangerous Dunnit's Desk Dame. Even the poor pusscat's past pouncing... ok, that's
enough alliteration, I'm worn out!!

Thats a fab little craft room - thanks for sharing. Such a cold snowy day here - I have been happily sewing and watching the snowflakes fall.

Loved the bigger view of your craft space. Mine is in a room we have to walk through to get to the kitchen so it has to be kept fairly tidy. Suzanne #100

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the set, "As the Desk Turns"! My cats have the box-itus too. They also have scratch the packing material-itus and claw the bubble wrap-itus. I think their favorite is to casually jump upon the work bench while I have open paint and a paint brush. Happy Easter & WOYWW! Warmly, Tracy #28

Lovely creative space, Judy!! You made me laugh, too, with your poor kitty drowning in paperwork! Lol lol!! I'm afraid our kitties are banned from my ARTHaven because Beatrice tends to be destructive and she's the nosiest kitty on earth, and pulls everything out to have a look at it, and she NEVER puts anything away again lol!!

Thanks for your nice comment on my blog - glad you like the current projects!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Hello Princess Judy,

I really enjoy your take on "As The Desk Turns." You are one clever chick, no only with paper but with words!!!

Poppy is a little darling.

I'm not participating this week - it kind of snuck up on me....

Hugs,
Kay

Poppy is a papercrafter too. What a sweet little face. Your desk looks ready to get creative. My desk is ready, but I'm not sure my brain is on the same page.....Have a WONDERFUL week.

Bit late getting round this week as computer is being hogged by my Grandson, he's off to his other Grans this afternoon so lots more time for me (still in bed now at 9:43 am so am taking advantage of that).
Your craft space is fab Judy, so much space, and kittens as well. Snow all gone here - back to sunshine but cold. Thanks for dropping in.

That's a really great workspace you have there! No New Year resolutions for me either, but, hey, goals are a better proposition. And that PVA glue is not my favourite either but I have to admit it works well, especially if you just treat it like paint and use a brush to apply it. Happy WOYWW!

I'm glad that Poppy's paperwork reminded you to do your taxes. You don't want to forget that! I don't think Poppy has filed her taxes either. Hmm...

Princess Judy Palmer said...

Yeah, it was a last minute OMG it is Wednesday thing for me too. So I took the photos, brought the camera and cord to work and put it together on my break. I'm having a hard time grasping the days of the week lately. Today feels like Friday. But it ain't...

I guess you used to watch "Soap", having read your first paragraph. You have a great workspace there and even room for two kitties. Our two dogs took on e look at the floor in my room this week and left me to it. Thank you for your comforting words about the Cuttlebug noises, they are a bit disconcerting. I shall probably get used to it, and it sounds better than the tales I have been hearing about the Vagabond. Have a good Easter. xx Maggie #9

Oh my gosh! The Vagabond! I guess that thing catches fire randomly. It should at least come with a warning to have the marshmallows and chocolate handy.

Hey! I do like your desk but knowing it is near the cat litter boxes has kinda put me off coming over now! However, looking at the big picture you look to be a bit of a neat freak too!
I was trying to be a good student by cleaning my desk between projects! I know TH is all about grunge but I didn't want it on my sample tags as I want them to be able to refer back to!
As for a model for your badge, what about Poppy? No!! I wasn't thinking of her chest, but she could have clipped it on her collar for you!!

Di said...

Ha, ha - so Poppy isn't the only paper fiend in your house?! I keep saying, I can come and help tidy if ever you want - no, I thought not :) Di xx

I like the layout of your crafty room, not sure i have the room behind the door, and it would lose me some shelving space on the wall...and..getting in through the door! I need more shelves! Which is why those Useful Boxes were on my birthday list! They come with their own little shelves, so you can get to the bottom one without having to pull all the others out too! The unit was cheaper than it normally is as well, (half price) so win win all round! Yes the 'visiting' cat (we call him Jinksy) nicks my chair too and tries to push me out! (hence he now has his own!) Have a great Easter, happy late WOYWW!

Poor Poppy, hope she got her paperwork sorted. But then cats like to play with paper so maybe she turned it into a plaything.
Love your desk, so compact and just lovely.

I loved the photo of Poppy. I've got one that lives on the floor, and I suspect he would love to be wrapped in all that paper, too. Happy belated WOYWW and happy Easter from #6.
