Who's Minding the Desk? WOYWW 149

This morning it dawned on my sleepy brain that it was Wednesday, so I asked the cat to quickly take a picture of my desk.  The cat, of course, refused to be useful so my husband took it.  And he got me in the picture.  Sort of.
What I am holding is a pop up card that my friend sent me and lemme say, it is quite risque!  Other items to note are a mess, a package of lace ribbon, some form mount bug stamps, a Hero Arts clear set of greetings, several butterfly themed Martha Stewart punches, my new Penny Black wood stamps shoved to the back of the desk, and on top of my desk is a miniature bottle of Talisker whiskey, which my hubby has given me as a "must have" item for my traveling stamp kit.  To the left of the bottle, is a my ever growing pile of snippets, of which there are more in the pile on the left of my desk.

That is it for What's on Your Workdesk No. 149.  If you'd like see what that is all about, then go check out The Mistress of the Snoop, Julia Dunnit's Stamping Ground blog HERE.

If you've got a spot more time, you can check out the butterfly themed paper bag book I'm working on for a swap that I am now officially late for.  The cover of it was shown on a previous WOYWW post, but I did add some more to it and change out the obnoxious pink ribbon for one not so bright.

As you can see this is still a work in progress. I'm having a hard time working on this because I don't feel like being crafty at all.  It isn't just crafting, I don't feel like doing anything at all lately.

Page with tag info-papers by DCWV Spring Fling, border punch by Fiskars, greeting by Stampin Up, tag corner punch by Fiskars (squeeze punch), scrap fibers.

Well a risque pop-up card - the mind boggles at what that could be!! Might have to reach for the whisky if you showed us that. Loving your butterfly book, hope you get your crafty urge back soon. )(And what's the matter with that cat? What do they think we keep them for? Cindy

Flippin' cats, what use are they?! Not much good as ornaments, they eat too much, poo too much, try to kill you on the stairs (cheers Vince), and can't even be bothered to use a camera when you need it. Hmph. Hun, I am sure that you working area is shrinking, or is it just the sides of your desk moving in? Sorry you are feeling uncrafty just now - hopefully it is only a short phase and can be cured by some retail craft therapy. Hugs Sxx

Hope Mr. Mojo hops back into your life soon! I love those butterflies.

Thanks for your comment on my blog - I've just done a bit more tweaking on my blog and I think it's better now. As for the Inktense pencils, I can't wait for my birthday! I shall really enjoy using them, I know.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi and thanks for the comments. Exactly what I thought about the fluffy tail, might have to find one for the one I have. Such a shame you don't have any photos of your mohawk. I remember seeing a group of lads in the corner of the common room at college doing eachother's mohawks - aw. I had to iron the lace before using it on my page as it had got alll crinkled.
Anyway, your desk looks like lots is going on. Your little book is lovely, I do love butterflies. Nice to pop by again - BJ#42

Good to hear hubbie can take an excellent photo and also keep you supplied with beverages. Mine is still laughing over his inappropriate comment. Hope the mojo returns I tend to start reading books until some idea strikes me and then i am back at my desk.. Although it looks like your butterfly projects are very pretty and coming along nicely. Nice to see legs and hands in a desk photo. Sandra #63

Your book is lovely, I really like the colours and patters you have used. Thank you for your visit this week and for your kind comments. Our boating friends may not have a horse, but they were in a series on TV, and pulled a butty boat loaded with timber round the country for the whole of one summer, going to all the boating festivals. Have a good week. xx Maggie #2
