WOYWW and Wind

WOYWW is one of the biggest crafty blog hops around.  We each share a photo of our crafting space with all its bumps and warts or halos and angel wings.  You can check it out at the Queen of Desk Snooping Julia's blog Stamping Ground.  I am warning you though, it is strangely addicting.  Since there are so many desks to visit WOYWWers stop by only briefly so quick, here's my desk.  It looks a lot like it does most Wednesdays, stuff piled to the sides and some working space in the middle.   Some items to note on the desk this week are a couple new stamps I got recently and a project I'm working on for a swap.

Here is a bonus photo peek at my hall closet.  This closet is big enough to hold a washer and dryer.  But alas, there are no hook ups so it contains paper and stamps.  And cat litter, extra blankets, and random household things, but who's counting those?

Another project on my desk is one I worked on for the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge is called Which Way the Wind Blows so I made the following card.  You don't have to use A Muse products to join the challenge-although they like it when you do-so why don't you think about joining in?

The Fine Print: On Guard stamp by Penny Black, Make Your stamp by Hero Arts, Butterfly Dream punches by EK Success, and proof you can squish a bottle cap in a Big Shot if you know what you're doing, sticker letters by unknow, pinwheel and Life's a Breeze stamps by A Muse Artstamps, as are the petite polka dot papers and the scallop die, the die cut around greeting is Labels 11 by Spellbinders.

A cat in the way, as always.

I moved cuz I had to go potty. Was that okay? Don't tell anyone but I have another of those containers and two file drawers full of card stock too. I'm not kidding about the 8-foot stack of paper. And my 8-foot stack is just the patterned stuff.

Love that pile of paper!! I had a deja vue moment when I saw your new stamps - have seen that guardhouse one somewhere else recently. Love your little pin wheel card. Thanks for taking the time to track me down and let me know I messed up my link - I was feeling very unloved!! That's what happens when you rush - Oh well there's always next week!!!

Well that closet sure looks organized! Can't wait to see what you do with that retro looking stamp with the 2 women. I love that type of graphic. Thanks for stopping by my space, Princess Judy (or is it just Princess, or Judy or do you prefer the formal Princess Judy?) Barb

The cat does indeed look miffed! Funny thing though the card was there first. Of course fluffy blanket on a pillow... why OF COURSE that must be for a cat.

Princess Judy Palmer said...

It was a store... several of them. Those darn crafty stores keep going out of business here and then it is time to stock up!!!!

Princess Judy Palmer said...

The closet needs to stay pretty organized at it is a walk in closet and the CAT LITTER is in there. That's important to access. I suppose the medications and laundry soap in there might be necessary too... oh yeah and all those drawers of stamps!! If it is too messy you can't open them. Many of the lower ones are blocked now. I wish I could water that closet and make it grow.

Princess Judy Palmer said...

I answer to Judy, or Princess, or Princess Judy, or Pee Jay, or even Hey, You! I'm easy. The closet has to stay fairly organized since the hubby goes in there too. All the medications are in there, kitty litter, laundry soap, and all those drawer of stamps (not that he'd get into them but they need room to slide open--can't get into the lower ones right now).

How much paper is that? A few trees worth for sure and just think if there were power points in that cupboard you would have to find somewhere else to store it.

Blimey, you have such a lot of stash and so neatly organised. I'm amazed you have room for household stuff too. Cat litter takes up such a lot of room!!! I spilled a bag all over the Supermarket car park after ripping it on the trolley yesterday, not a happy bunny! May have to come and borrow some of yours, lol.
Love the card.

I have tried several times to leave you a message this week, but Mr Blogger and Mr Link both objected to everything I tried. I hope it works this time. Thank you for your visits and your kind comments. Flash is now recovering slowly. It was not a sting. We think that he was just rushing round like the mad dog he is and wrenched something, causing soft tissue damage. However the anti-inflammatory and the painkillers seem to be doing their work Slow gently exercise is on the agenda for a week or so to allow the damage to heal properly. Have a good week. xx Maggie #7
