WOYWW 146 -A Snakeless Post

My hubby took out the trash last night and came rushing back to grab the camera and rush back out.  It turns out he had seen a snake on the sidewalk and thought a photo of it would be great for Workdesk Wednesday.  I did point out that said snake was not on my desk but he was wise enough to know that I put photos of other things on the WW blog post too.  Further pondering made me wonder if a photo of a snake would have had y'all up on your computer chairs shrieking.  The hubby is no fan of snakes but said this one was skinny and cute so it probably wasn't very intimidating. And given our cold weather it was a surprise he got away before his photo session.  He had to be slow moving.  Anyway.... THE DESK:
Here are the piles on the right and left sides:

Here's a blurry picture of the project I worked on--postage themed ATCs for a swap on Saturday and a bottlecap I planned to stick under my truck tire to flatten.  The old man intervened on that one and used pliers and a rolling pin to flatten it.
Here's a project I need to get back to work on at some point. And I took this picture with the camera pointing the regular way and yet it rotates when I upload so I had to use the photo editing software to put it on its side so it uploads okay.  Gotta love it.
This last photo is a pile of brads and twine that were scattered about on my desk.  The twine is twine by the yard I bought awhile ago. I took it with me on my travels recently and it got wadded all up.  The brads are gifts from a friend.

If you want to know why I'm showing off photos of my desk mess, check out The Stamping Ground where tons of folks share their crafting space every Wednesday.  It is strangely addicting.  Check it out!

My dear Princess Judy,

Ha. I would have loved to see a photo of a snake! I've had gardner snakes in my backyard before and I don't mind them. We also have rattlesnakes here but haven't seen one of them close to my house! Amen to that.

Your desk looks quite fetching today. I love the card with the girl wearing her beret - very frenchie.

Happy WOYWW

Thanks for visiting! Ha, never thought to run over the bottle caps...hmmm...my luck, I'd pop a tire! Ha! FYI- My copic storage is empty Crystal Light containers that are rubber banded together. It is just the right size, because the lids still fit, making them portable. Have a great WOYWW! -Amanda 57

Aw shucks, I'd have to liked to see the picture of the snake - also the cloud of dust raised by your husband as he legged it down the path!!LOL. I love seeing pics of where folk live - It's almost certain that I'll never venture to your neck of the woods, so it pleases me to know what it looks like. I KNOW I'm nosey - it's a skill :)
Have a fab time this week,

I was thinking about putting the bottle cap open side down so it wouldn't dig into my tires before running it over. I think I might still try one just to see what happens because now I'm dying to know! Crystal light containers huh? Hmmm.... I like that you can lid them up and take them to go!

I would have loved to have seen the snake... never mind they do move quickly. But your desk is a treasure as usual, as for the piles. . . I think you can get cream (or maybe medium) for them. Hee Hee!

The snake would have been funny, but even better is that hubby is trying to get in on the action.:) The little girl stamp is adorable!

Thanks for visiting me. The brass knobs and such will be used in various projects as handles or bases. Fun stuff!

Love that your DH thinks to take photos for you, how sweet is he?
I use to just smash my bottle caps with a hammer, then a lady said she puts them through her cuttlebug. Now I am a convert LOL. Your desk area looks very full of wonderful things to work with.
Keep smiling and creating and thanks so much for stopping by.

Can I come over to play with all your brads and other sparkly things, please? I will be very good and tidy up after myself (even though I don't tidy up after myself at home). Snakes don't worry me, my mother would leave the room if one was shown on TV. Thank you for your visit yesterday and your lovely comments on our new stamp. If you want to see some of what Clarity Stamps produce, go back to my post and I have added the link to their web site within that post. They are a small family company in Kent, and have won numerous awards for their stamps and demonstrating by Barbara Gray. Her TV demonstrations are brilliant if you can pick them up via the internet over there on Create and Craft TV on the first Sunday in each month. Have a god week. xx Maggie #5

You must tell me how to run bottle caps through the cuttlebug!!!! I've heard you can put them through the wizard but didn't know you could with a cuttlebug. I still want to run one over and see what happens. I promise not to run myself over!

Sounds like hubby has got some snake stalking work to do before next Wednesday!! Lovely busy desk, like the flowers off to the left and cute little Mimi stamp too (PB - which I now know you like!). Love the little mail truck on the atc, and you're going to have to drive over a bottle cap just to see, you won't sleep until you do!!

Hugs

Love the cute image on the card and the ATC looks great. So pleased ther isn't a snake in sight ... Ugh! And as for my tidiness it is only due to the fact it all has to be tidied or we won't eat otherwise I would also be a mess!
