No Card Left Behind

I made this card for and exchange for my stamp club. The theme was "long ago and far away" which many interpreted as vintage but I thought sounded more like a fairytale.
I made it back when I was having a hard time stamping, like I'd lost all my skills. This was about the 4th or 5th castle I'd stamped. I colored it in very, very carefully because I didn't think I had it in my to stamp another one. Given my lack of skills I was impressed with how the front of the card came out. Then I decided to decorate the inside.
That dragon came out looking like a 5-year old colored it. He started life as a much lighter purple but kept getting darker and darker as I tried to cover up the streaks and mishaps.

Then to top it all off I forgot to bring the card with me when I went to my club meeting. Ah, heck!

The Fine Print: Stamps by Stampin' Up. BTW, I don't have bubonic plague and I haven't turned into a zombie yet.

Sounds like you're having 'one of those days' Judy! The card turned out lovely and reminded me of a recent message I got from a company I tried to order furniture from - they told me they couldn't deliver sofas to Northern Ireland as they wouldn't fit onto the fairies!!

i like how you thought out of the box, Judy. I like this interpretation really well. This card is so perfect in so many ways. that BG paper is the right touch with all that ivy looking grayish purplish tine going on. I hope they liked it. are you still coughing? i am trying to work between episodes but it's stamp, cough cough cough, color...oops!!!

It's also a song, but I love your fairytale take on the phrase. The colouring on the image is lovely - so subtle, and I don't see anything wrong with the dragon either. Altogether enchanting!

I would have never guessed by this beautiful card that you a had a season of trouble stamping! Gorgeous castle!!! I do hate it when I have to stamp the same image 4 or 5 times because of mishaps! So glad you persevered!!!
