Feral Hair

The other day my coworker was looking at me askance and after a while of that she asked what was up with my hair. I had to think about it for a moment and then I remembered, "Oh, I probably didn't bother to comb it today."  That's not nearly as bad as that sounds. My hair is crazy thick, stick straight, and hangs where it wants to hang so about the only difference when I do comb it is that there is some vague semblance of a part.

HER: You really need to do more with your hair.

ME: What do you mean? I take it with me wherever I go. We do a lot a together, me and my hair.

HER: That's not what I mean...

ME: Oh, you mean I should attempt to tame it. That way lies madness...

HER: I think you could do something if you tried.

ME: I've tried. My hair is feral. There is no hope.
I think she's just jealous of my easy care hair. She primps hers every day without fail. She is its master and it obeys her. My hair is independent.

I know what she's talking about though. My one layer has grown out to the point where it flaps out on the sides of my head like wings. I can't do anything about it. It just needs to grow out some more and then it will be too heavy to do the wing thing and it way lay down like all the rest of my hair. I'm not about to shellac that stuff into place. It wouldn't listen anyway.

NIce cards again today Judy, and I really like the neutral colors and embossing, along with that sweet birthday sentiment! I don't understand what prompts some folks to criticize as if they're perfect in every way! It's so easy to be kind to one another instead. I'm sure your hair looks just fine :)

ROFL!!!! Oh, yeah, we could be sisters with the hair thing. I say that I am a GRAY Bozo the clown!!! I have hair everywhere and yeah, combing doesn't do a thing. I look in the mirror before I leave and it looks decent. Kind of just lays there and the next time I see myself in a mirror when I am in town, it is nearly standing on end every which way. I love your easy going way!!! I don't think I could have laughed it off. Your co-worker was rude! When my mom sees a photo of me she says, "I like how you look but "that hair"...you should really do something about that hair". :( Oh, well, I guess I really came over here to check out your pretty cards not go on and on about hair! I love all three. Such pretty designs and layering! Thanks for making me chuckle once again with your amazing blog posts!

You must keep your co-workers in stitches every day Judy. I just wish I had your problem .... Suppose I did when I was young now it's getting thin on top and I mean thin. I do have to pluck my chin regularly now though. Barbxx

Glad you're not turning into a werewolf, PJ! I wasn't sure what was going to happen when I saw this post! Three more of these great designs!

Pretty cards, Judy! I've got independent hair, too--constant struggle as I haven't yet come to terms with it even though I'm 65--haha!

Apart from the fact that mine is wild and curly and frizzy, I have the exact same relationship with my hair. It does as it wishes, and I'm happy to let it get on with it. Any attempt to tame it is doomed to failure. If we all just stopped trying to make our hair be something it isn't, we'd all save a lot of money!

Cool cards - especially that first one...
