Four Times the Happy

I did that thing recently and thought I'd show you.  You know, that thing.  That thing people do.  On cards.  With word dies.  Yeah!   That thing!
That thing where you layer up the word several times and gloss it up to look cool and use that as the focal point on your card.  I used four layers of "happy" on this card.
I thought it would make a quick and easy card and it probably would have if I hadn't discovered a broken water heater water all over my kitchen floor in the middle of card making.  Then you have to make a decision--do the right thing and empty the water heater closet and clean up the water or finish the card.  You see the dilemma?  I did the right thing and it wasn't even my water heater! It was the guy's on the other side of the wall.  He should have come and finished this card up for me.  Don't you think?!

The Fine Print: And he should have comforted the cat, Charles, who doesn't do well when things go wrong.  Water squeezing out between the floor tiles is a definite indication that things are going wrong in Charles' world.  Mine too, now that I think of it.  All products by A Muse Studio.  Lime cardstock, onyx stitched ribbon, Everything's Rosy designer paper, crystal clear glaze and happy word die.

Wonderful card Judy considering the stress factor. Good color and love the florals. Don't think I would have wanted to be your neighbor when you realized the mess was his. OUCH! Maybe Charles should have a word with him. LOL.

Bad neighbor!!!

tsk tsk on that neighbor! YES, he should have finished the card! Then again, it wouldn't have turned out this pretty either! I love the sentiment!!

Oh, poor you on the water problem. I know exactly what you felt like (except in our case it was OUR fault!). Poor cat too. I hope everyone has settled down, and it didn't seem to affect your pretty card one bit. Love the dimension and shine on that Happy. Four layers is a lot to glue together...my fingers always start to stick, the die cut wants to do 'its own thang', but yours is fabulous. Especially like the bold black against that wonderful green. TFS & Hugs (and yes at least he should have comforted the kitty, even if he had no card making skills!).

Oh yes, water rising from underneath any floor surface is sure to be cause for concern :(
Anyway I like that 'happy' technique on your card and maybe the neighbour should have finished it, but I've got my doubts about that :)

What a dilemma, but of course, craft should always win.

Mmmm, I dunno. I don think so, PJ. Sopping up water and finishing your extraordinary fat and fluffy sediment card are not prezackly the same skill level. Don't ever sell your talent short like that again, hear me?! Hugs, Darnell

Nope would not of wanted to be the man next door unless he was old and couldn't get around much. There is no way in hell I would of wanted anyone else touch my creation in progress either. I do hope you got it all sorted without any harsh words.

Hugs Eliza

woops forgot to add how great the card was and the layering of the words looks fantastic from here. It is always a fav of mine that layering and gloss.

Oh dear, what a dilemma! I have never heard of that thing, what a cool idea, itching to try it out now makes a great embellishment. Now, which die to use??

Ah, you've joined the stacked die-cut world. Welcome to the dark side.

And you did that wet kitchen thing all wrong. Get the neighbor to come over and clean up the water while YOU finish the card!

AUGH neighbours! Yikes. I hope there's no permanent damage to your kitchen! Charles too, of course. We have had all manner of leaks (including sewage, ewwww) and I don't care how many times it's happened, it is always a sign of terribleness afoot. Shudder.
I love this card. I need some word dies!
