A Challenging Day

No, no, today wasn't challenging as in a glue-yourself-to-your-desk kind of day.  It was all about stamping challenges!  Since my creative mojo is kind of whack-o, I decided I would let some challenges tell me what to work on.  And no, I didn't make one card and try to see how many challenges I could stuff it into.  I made a card each for some of my favorite challenges.

Penny Black Satruday Challenge-See Here
The latest challenge was called Love and Kisses.  You really should check out the link and oogle all the wonderful entries.  Here is my card, sweet and simple.  I really wanted to use these tiny puzzle pieces I have on this card, but erm... I don't really know where they are right now.  You can't tell by this scan that I colored in the puzzle and piece with my red Spica glitter pen. I think that really pulls the card together.  I also had a chance to use my Dymo label maker.  Wow, I never remember I have that thing.

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge-See here
I just barely squeaked in (get it? squeaked? mice?!) on this week's challenge.  The theme was Love and your project was to use more than one heart.  For some reason I had it in my head that we had to use 3 hearts, so you'll see my two heart brads and my one heart sticker on my card below.  This is an old favorite stamp of mine.  I had to have it as soon as I saw it.  It was the wreath that did it for me.  The base card is A Muse Studio shimmer paper.  I'm really grooving on that stuff and now they sell it in a sampler pack so you can get a couple of sheets of all the colors.

Saint Pixie's Crafty Snippets Challenge-See here
Come by the snippet playground and join in the fun.  Pixie's challenge is to use up the odds and ends, bits and bobs, this and thats that end up on your crafting desk.  At first I thought I had no snippets but then I remember that I was merely the victim of a picked up desk.  I had snippets stashed out of sight, plus more snippets from a friend.  However, I opted for the left over snippets from when I cut up a 12x12 paper in the one sheet wonder style.  I was rather disappointed in the 12x12 version, preferring the 8.5x11 version, and perhaps that is why I never finished off the little pieces.
Snippet Challenge
Sorry, I skipped out on the A Muse Studio challenge this week guys, but it involved heat embossing and even though that is my most favoriest technique in all the planet I had to pass.  It just wasn't fair to the other contestants.   *giggle*snort*

The Fine Print: Hedgehogs by Penny Black "Without You," heart border punch by Martha Stewart, glitter pen by At You Spica, label by Dymo, background paper by All My Memories, card base by A Muse Studio (cuz it's white on one side!).  House Mouse by Stampa Rosa "Wreath Love," greeting by Hero Arts, scallop punch and deckle edge scissors by Fiskars, heart brads by Recollections, patterned paper by DCWV, card base by A Muse Studio Shimmer Couture.  Snippet card greeting by Hero Arts, scallop border by EK Success, glitter paper by DCWV, heart die by Spellbinders, patterned paper by unknown.

All gorgeous Judy - good to see you crafting away and making us all laugh with your wry comments :) I can't pick a favourite - even though perhaps I should plump for the snippets (Saint Pixie indeed!!, snort, snort!).

OMG, so you too handle embossing as if it was a live grenade too huh?!

Happy Monday, two goes on the swings!

Di xx
