Stampin' Up Stuff

I made some fun cards at a workshop last night.  I enjoy workshops because you get to make something that you didn't have to think up, you get to hang out with fun people, and you get a fun finished product at the end.
I like workshops best when I get a useable card at the end, like this one.  I can immediately mail this to someone if need be.  And as an added bonus I have most of the stuff that made this card so I can make similar ones as well.
I'm not quite as fond of off-shaped or heavily constructed cards.  They take a little bit more effort to mail plus I usually want to keep them to use as a guide in case I ever decide to make a similar one, which given that I don't usually make those kinds of cards is kind of silly.  I'm really tickled by this mechanical card though because it is simple to make. I would actually duplicate this card.
Now then, stay tuned to see if I do!  The center opens up to reveal the greeting inside as you open the card (in case you can't figure out the mechanics of it).

What a wonderful array of cards, and I especially love that first one with the mosaic embossing and punches! The art splotches and smears in the background add so much interest! Great folding card too - I don't think I've ever seen one like that, but I likey :)

These are lovely! That second one looks like work, though. Not a candidate for mass-production, for sure.

I was an SU Demo for 8 years, and the monthly classes I had were a blast. It was the prep work that almost killed me. The ladies loved it, though. They made 4 cards in 2 hours. I'd love to go to a class where everything was pre-designed and pre-cut for me! HAHA!

It's like we share a brain. (Please don't be offended by that.) Great job on all the cards whether easy or difficult!! Hugs, Darnell

We have similar feelings on these types of cards. Yes, I want to make them, No I'm too lazy to try to do it on my own, but maybe -- if I wuz in a class - perhaps. Would I ever make another???Well...But these are fabulous and you did a super job with each one. I hope you do make some more and take time to 'splain how (well I'm being optimistic here that I'd actually try it! :-) Hugs & TFS
