Magic in the Night

This pumpkin face reminds me of me when I'm trying to smile when I really want to just slap someone upside the head, with a brick. He's kind of silly.

Sometimes I Repeat Myself

Sometimes I repeat myself and other times it's basically the same thing but a bit different.

The Happiest

I thought I'd share a couple of cards I put together the other day. They are pretty much the same thing.

Quote the Raven

"Whatever"

The Fine Print: Wait, you didn't think this raven was going to say "Nevermore" did you?! He's probably actually a crow anyway. Stamp by PSY, pumpkin paper from my friend.

Mouse with Pumpkin

I was going to enter this mouse into that newish challenge over at Perfectly Created Chaos but it closed already. I kept getting distracted by other things (oh look! shiny!). I can still share this card with you and share the story of how I couldn't get this mouse colored nicely. I tried lighter creams and it didn't work, so I did some light tans that looked stupid, and moved onto light browns. I finally stopped there because I don't know how much color this one piece of cardstock could take.

I guess I can also share this card over at the Snippet Playground #249 since I cut the leaves out of a snippet of patterned cardstock and the bit of seam binding was just laying around being a bum.

Noel Elves

I was such a dedicated follower of Merry Monday at the beginning of the year and then I slacked off. I kept track of all the challenges I missed with the idea that I would catch up on them over the summer when they took a break, but I didn't.  Then they came back from break and I still couldn't kick myself hard enough to get motivated.
But suddenly I found the motivation. Weirdly I found the motivation because I was convinced that I didn't have any elves for this week's challenge. I was bound and determined to find something elfish to be able to play along. What I found was one of my oldie but goodie favorite SU stamp sets.

And then I went crazy and made three cards from that set. While making them I was thinking about how I hate writing stuff on the inside of Christmas cards but it seems wrong to just sign them (but other people don't have this problem and they didn't even make their cards). That got me thinking about jazzing up the insides so I wouldn't feel so guilty about just signing them.
The Fine Print: I know it sounds weird to get motivated by something you don't have but I knew I had a gnome and a "gnome for the holidays" stamp and hoped it would be close enough that the Merry Monday ladies wouldn't throw rotten tomatoes or fruitcake at me. Merry Elves by Stamping Up.

World Card Making Day

Saturday was World Card Making Day, the day we must all set aside all other obligations in order to make cards all day. Except I was sick. So about all I made was snot.
Although I did make this one lone card, which was a CASE card.  In hindsight that orange color is a bit jarring. I should have followed that card I was CASEing a bit closer.
