Hoppin' Bananas

I got to play a little last night.  I used a cute stamp set that was waiting for me on my desk when I got home. I made this first card because I love bananas. Currently bananas are one of the few foods I can eat that don't make my tummy bananas.
Then I moved on to this cute little bunny because he is so sweet and went so well with the heart paper I had out.  I love those stitched circles. I need more stitched dies in my life.  Maybe the VD Fairy will bring me some.
The Fine Print: VD is Valentine's Day in case you couldn't figure that out. And of course the VD Fairy is real, don't listen to your mother.  I'll bet she told you Santa wasn't real either.  Stamps by Lawn Fawn, heart paper by A Muse Studio, and stitched die by MFT.

Workdesk 292

It's a new Wednesday in a new year but it's the same old desk here in Judy Landia.  I tidied up some last night, not in anticipation of your visit but in anticipation of being able to play this evening.  I'm still having some ups and downs with this intestinal thing but it'll all work out in the end. Um... sometimes even literally.
One of the things I have front and center to play with is this fun stamp set.  I was inspired by this post on Carol's blog where she went on a mini-Valentine's card spree.  I made some similar VD cards recently and was glad she reminded me that I had this set.
Another thing I have are these items I pulled out to make a New Year's card. I pulled them out on the first but haven't gotten to them yet.  The year is still new though so it's all good.
I also have these scrumptious die cuts that were sent to me (to entice me to buy them you know). I believe they are all by Tattered Lace.  The corset is sparkly to boot!  I'm looking forward to using them but afraid I won't do them justice.
If you'd like to see what some other crafter's are up to or view their desks, check out What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, but don't blame me if you get addicted to it.

The Fine Print: It's all fine and good here, how about with you?

Whoo Loves Ya?

I made this card the other day and pulled out an old dusty punch to make the speech bubbles.  Sometimes those old punches come in handy!
I love how the one owl is giving the other moonie eyes.  Moonie eyes make my husband twitch.  It's good for him.

From the Sub-Cockles...

A friend and I once had a discussion about how big an assload was and decided it all depended on the size of the ass.  We came to the decision that a super model's assload would be much smaller than say yours or mine, especially mine.
Urban Dictionary defines assload as: more than a lot, but less than a shitload.  Apparently crapload and fuckton are units of measurements too.  But all this is venturing dangerously close to mathematics, so we'll just leave it be.
But rest assured that no matter the size of the ass, it is bigger than the heart!  And much more meaningful.

The Fine Print: The best reason to get a well-rounded education is to go with your well-rounded ass, but we aren't allowed to use that selling point with students.  Silly stamps from Stampin' Up, butterfly punch from Martha, and funky paper from my stash.

Peek-a-Boo Snow Day Card

I made a similar card to this at a workshop a couple of months ago.  My friend insisted that since I had all the stamps I needed to make another one of them.  I got crazy and decided to go for it even though it is a feat of engineering.  Here is the closed front looking like your every day gatefold card with a spot of twine holding it closed.
As it opens up you notice that the inside focal point is hidden but slowly coming into view...
Once you open the card all the way up you can see it in its entirety.  Ta da!  Peek-a-Boo, I see you!
We will not be making 70 of those for our Christmas card this year.

The Knocking of the Socks

I'm still having fun playing with this silly Valentine's Day set.  I really like the socks and the socks saying, but I don't much care of the concept of sock removal.  It is much to much too cold to be sockless right now.
In fact, double socks may be called for! Cindy cat helped me with this second card.  She put a little dot under the greeting so I helped her turn it into a heart.  She says it is okay to not have socks if you have dad's electric blanket.

New Year Sneak Peek!

Hello My Readers!  Sorry I didn't get to wish you happy new year yesterday but I was having technological difficulties, as in no phone, no internet and no cable.  It was and continues to be terribly primitive.  But luckily I have my trusty smoke signals and carrier pigeon available to get this post out to the world.

A Muse Studio is doing something new this year to bring newness to us every new month.  Every month they are going to have a selection of stamps and products that we just cannot live one more second without!  It's true; they are evil like that.
January's selection is all about love and Valentine's.  It has stamps, matching dies, stitched tag dies, stickers, cardstock assortment packs, new twine, heart shaped doilies, candy wrapper dies, and sequins.  One of the sets featured above has this fun tree with an open area that I chose to cut out to peek-a-boo my cute owl.  You can carve your initials in the tree if you wish to instead.
My favorite set features cute little silly things with silly sayings, like this knock your socks off notecard or the bombastic one below.  Check out that nifty stitched tag die!  You'll be seeing a lot of that in future I'm sure.
I'm going to have lots of fun playing with these stamps, dies and supplies. I love Valentine's and always have.  Forget love and romance; for me it is all about the cards!!!!!!

The Fine Print: All products by A Muse Studio. Top Card--Stamps "You Me" and "Fall in the Forest" (now retired; I warned you all that I'd drag those animals out for spring too); cardstock--lemon whip, cherry, and sugar; other supplies--heart trio die.  Middle Card--Stamps "My Punny Valentine;" cardstock--sugar, bubblegum and sweetheart bubblegum; other supplies-"My Punny Valentine" matching dies and small scallop border die.  Bottom Card--Stamps "My Punny Valentine;" cardstock--sugar, cherry, and heartbreaker cherry; dies--"Fishtail Tag Large" and "My Punny Valentine;" other supplies--cherry and white baker's cording.
